Day by Day Itinerary
Departure:
Day 01: Shanghai
You'll be picked up upon arrival at the airport and transferred to check into the hotel. Visit the Nanjing Road and have a stroll at the Bund area along the Huangpu River. The welcome dinner is arranged at Central Hotel, Wang Bao He restaurant which has a history over 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. Later, you will enjoy an amazing Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (D)

Day 02: Shanghai - Suzhou

The Garden of the Master of the Nets, Suzhou
Visit the Shanghai Museum which houses large collections of historical items in the morning. Then go ahead to the famous Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a short cruise tour on the Huangpu River. Board the soft seat train to Suzhou and the tour guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to check in at the hotel. (B+L)

Day 03: Suzhou - Shanghai
Have a whole day tour to the Tiger Hill, the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Garden of the Master of the Nets. Board the soft seat train back to Shanghai and check in at the same hotel. (B+L)

Day 04: Shanghai - Yichang
The last stop of Shanghai is a brief tour to the Jade Buddha Temple. Then head for Yichang city by flight and be picked up upon arrival with comfortable private transfer. Visit Yichang Museum if time is available. After dinner, board onto the deluxe New Century cruise ship for overnight. (B+L+D)

Day 05: Three Gorges Dam
Your expectant Yangtze River cruise commences at 07:00 in the morning. Sail along the eastern Xiling Gorge. Disembark and take a visit to the magnificant under constructed Three Gorges Dam Site. Then back to the ship and continue cruising along the western Xiling Gorge and pass the Five Level Ship Lock. After dinner, you are invited to participate the Captain's Welcome Party. (B+L+D)
Day 06: Three Little Gorges
Sail through Wu Gorge in the morning and take a detour to the verdant Three Little Gorges. You will also experience an exciting short pea-boat rowing. Back to the ship and view the scenery of the shortest Qutang Gorge. (B+L+D)
Day 07: Fengdu
Disembark at Fengdu to visit the Snowy Jade Cave. Then continue sailing to Chongqing. In the evening, join in the farewell party and enjoy your last night on board. (B+L+D)
Day 08: Chongqing - Guilin

Terracotta army, Xian
The ship is scheduled to arrive in Chongqing at around 08:30. Follow the advice to pack your luggage in advance. The guide will meet you on board and take you for a brief city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. After a rich buffet lunch at the 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze, head for Guilin by flight and you will be met by the local professional guide at the airport. After dinner, enjoy the evening delight Ethnic Songs and Dances Show at Lijiang Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
Travel to Yangshuo by cruising along the magnificent Li River which itself is the highlight of today. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a brief country-road tour by bicycle will be arranged. A local family will be somewhere along the road expecting your visit. If you are less skillful of riding a bicycle, you can take our electric car instead. Transfer back to Guilin. (Tip: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can hardly meet your expectation, TCG suggests you have enough breakfast at the hotel this morning.) (B+L)

Day 10: Guilin - Xian
Enjoy the Guilin highlight tour to the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Head for Xian by flight and you will be met by the local professional tour guide at the airport. Transfer to check in at the well-selected hotel, where a luxurious buffet dinner is served. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Xian
You will have a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum which is said to be the Eighth Wonder of the world. Drive back by highway to downtown to have a decent lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall after lunch. Day 12: Xian

Sera Monastery, Lhasa
Morning excursion stops at the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying a la carte lunch at a famous restaurant, continue the tour to a local family and the Great Mosque in the afternoon. You could make use of the time to explore for some souvenirs or antiques in the Bazaar near the Mosque. (B+L)

Day 13: Xian - Lhasa
Conclude the tour after visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. Head for Lhasa by flight, which is the highest located city in the world with the altitude of 3,650 meters above the sea level. Your professional local tour guide will expect you at the airport with comfortable private airport-hotel transfer. An a la carte dinner will be served at the top end Sichuan cuisine restaurant. Day 17: Beijing

Forbidden City, Beijing
You will be thrilled the whole day when visit the Tiananmen Square - one of the largest and grandest city square in the world; the Forbidden City of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Temple of Heaven - once was the royal temple. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a well-known restaurant. The cheering national Peking Opera awaits you after dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 18: Beijing
You will be accompanied by the local professional guide to one of the greatest world heritage sites - the Great Wall, Badaling section. Drive to escape the shopping site tourist restaurants to have a decent meal - Sichuan food, for lunch. The visit continue to the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way in the afternoon.
