It is a chance to update your knowledge of China with ancient civilization. Isolated among the highest mountain peaks on earth, Tibet is one of the most mystical and spiritual places in the world. Very few westerners have had the chance to experience this vast remote territory.

Day by Day Itinerary

China Water Town

Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai
Upon arrival, please go to the hotel we have booked for you by yourselves.

Accommodation: Zhongya Hotel


Day 02: Shanghai
The hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. You are suggested to visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden, the Nanjing Road and the Bund on your own. (B)

Day 03: Shanghai - Suzhou
The activities in Shanghai today are arranged by yourselves. We will book the train tickets for you from your hotel. Please pick up the tickets from the front desk and pay on the spot. Take an afternoon soft seat train to Suzhou by yourselves. Our guide will meet you at Suzhou railway station and transfer to the hotel. (B)

Day 04: Suzhou - Shanghai
Visit the Tiger Hill, the Garden of the Master of the Nets and the Humble Administrator's Garden. See off at Suzhou railway station by soft seat train to Shanghai. Upon arrival, please go to the hotel we booked for you by yourselves. (B+L)

Day 05: Shanghai - Yichang
You are suggested to visit the Jade Buddha Temple on your own. Take a flight to Yichang by yourselves. Pick you up at Yichang airport and visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. Check in at the luxurious cruise ship to stay overnight. (B)

Day 06: Yangtze Three Gorges Dam
Take an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. Enter the Xiling Gorge. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening.  (B+L+D)

Day 07: Badong (Shennong Stream)
Disembark at Badong and take a small pea boat along Shennong Stream to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of the nature. (B+L+D)

Day 08: Fengdu
After breakfast, visit the Ghost City of Fengdu. Continue sailing to pass through the mountains of Eastern Sichuan. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Chongqing - Guilin
After breakfast, relax and pack your bags with leisure. The estimated arrival in Chongqing is 9:00. Our guide will meet you on board and a city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell will be offered. Then take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 10: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
Transfer you to the pier to board the cruise ship. Then the activities along the Li River and in Yangshuo will be handled by yourselves. Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, you may have a short bicycle trip to the countryside. Alternatively, you can take an electric car instead of taking bicycles. Go back to Guilin by yourself. The shuttle bus ticket from Yangshuo to Guilin can be purchased easily at the bus stop. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, TCG suggests that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today). (B+L)

Day 11: Guilin - Xian
You are suggested to visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill by yourselves. Take a taxi to the airport by yourselves to board the flight to Xian.  Our guide will pick you up at Xian airport and transfer you to the hotel. (B)

Day 12: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Provincial History Museum. (B+L)

Day 13: Xian
The hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. You are suggested to visit the City Wall, the Great Mosque and have some free time to explore the Bazaar near the Mosque by yourselves. (B)

Barkhor Street, Lhasa

Day 14: Xian - Lhasa
You are suggested to take a shuttle bus to the airport and the stop is very near to your hotel. You yourselves will board the flight to Lhasa, where the altitude is 3,650 meters above sea level. Our guide will pick you up at Lhasa airport and transfer to the hotel. Acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. (B)

Day 15: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit the Sera Monastery and the Norbulingka Park. (B+L)

Day 16: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street. After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. (B+L)

Day 17: Lhasa - Beijing
Visit a Tibetan family. Take a flight to Beijing and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 18: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.  (B+L)

Great Wall, Beijing

Day 19: Beijing
Only hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. We intend to leave the day free for you to absorb something of the vibrant atmosphere of Beijing. (B)

Visit the Badaling Great Wall, the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B+L)
