We had a really happy China tour this August, except missed our flight back to Sydney in Shanghai. After our tour finished in Beijing, we took the overnight train to Shanghai for connecting our homeward flight. The train is scheduled to arrive in Shanghai at 7:30 and our flight leaves at 10:30. We assumed 3 hours is enough for the connecting. Out of expectation, the train was late for almost 1 hour. As a result, we lost our flight. The trains in China are often late, sometimes for several hours. Flight also could be late. So, we had better leave enough time for the connecting. Do not take a venture!
