Day 01Arrival in Shanghai

You'll be met upon arrival outside the baggage claim area at the Shanghai Airport and transferred to check in at the hotel. Visit the Nanjing Road and stroll the Bund area along the Huangpu River. The a la carte welcome dinner  will be arranged at the Central Hotel, Wang Bao He restaurant, which has a 260- year history and is the best place to savor Shanghai Cuisine. Later, enjoy an amazing Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.(D)

The Bund - On mentioning the Huangpu River, we should also talk about the Bund. For a hundred years, it has become the symbol of Shanghai. Facing the Huangpu River in the east, the Bund starts from Yan'an Road (East) in the south and ends in the Waibaidu Bridge in the north. Along the road, there are over 50 classical buildings of different styles, praised as the exhibition of exotic building clusters.

Day 02Shanghai

In the morning, visit the Shanghai Museum which houses large collections of historical items. Then move on to the famous Yuyuan Garden and a visit with a family. Afterwards board the deluxe Victoria cruise ship, which departs at 17:00. Dinner is served on board.(B+L+D)

Shanghai Museum - Founded and first open to the public in 1952, Shanghai Museum has become a national key museum, boasting permanent galleries of ancient bronze, sculpture, ceramics, jades, paintings, calligraphy, seals, Numismatics, furniture of the Ming and Qing Dynasty as well as arts and crafts of Chinese minorities.
 
Yuyuan Garden - The construction of Yuyuan Garden is said to start in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. Originally, it was built as a private garden by Pan Yunrui, an official in the Ming Dynasty. He spent more than 20 years constructing this private garden to please his old father Pan'en who once served as the Minister of Justice. When the project was over, Pan Yunrui named the garden “Yu Yuan”. In Chinese, "Yu” refers to “Peace and Health”. Pan hoped that his father could enjoy his twilight years happily in Yu Yuan.

Day 03Nanjing

The ship stops at Nanjing where you will  disembark to visit the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and a Qing Dynasty style bazaar surrounding a Confucian Temple.(B+L+D)

Day 04Excursion to Huangshan

An excursion to Mt. Huangshan awaits you today. It is famous for the unique pines, odd-shaped stones, seas of the clouds and the hot springs.(B+L+D)

Day 05Excursion to Wuhan

Shore excursion to Wuhan for a city tour. Visit the Hubei Provincial Museum. (B+L+D)

Day 06Yangtze River

Sail along the Yangtze River for the entire day. Culture programs are available on board.(B+L+D)

Yangtze River - The Yangtze River, 6,300 kilometers, is the longest river in China. It is also the third longest river in the world, only inferior to the Nile in Africa and the Amazon in South America. The Three Gorges on the Yangtze River is one of the top ten tourist destinations in China.

Day 07Three Gorges Dam

At 07:30 arrive at Yichang and sail through the Gezhou Dam. After lunch, visit the site of the Three Gorges Dam. Late in the afternoon, the cruise sails through the Three Gorges Dam Ship Lock.(B+L+D)

Yangtze River - The Yangtze River offers us not only the imposing natural scenery but also abundant hydropower resources. The Three Gorges Project, the largest water control project in the world, is located in the Sandongping Town, in the middle section of Xiling Gorge. Gezhouba Dam was also built in the Yangtze River.

Day 08Yangtze Three Little Gorges

The ship enters the Wu Gorge which is famous for its lofty peaks and mountains on both sides of the river. The ship will stop at the Daning River for an interesting excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges. Viewing the mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient coffins and rare animals will astound you. vi In the afternoon, you will enjoy imposing scenery when the ship passes through Qutang Gorge.(B+L+D)

Day 09Fengdu

Morning onshore excursion is to  Fengdu, known as the "Ghost City". Then return to the ship and continue sailing.(B+L+D)

Ghost City - Ghost City of Fengdu was called Bazibiedu in ancient times. Established as a county in Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 AD), Fengdu began to be famous as "the Capital of Ghost Country" or the "netherworld". In the legend, netherworld is the home of deceased's soul. Collecting Confucianist, Buddhist and Taoist folk culture, Fengdu is a treasure-house of arts. Wreathed with luxuriant trees and interspersed by a few temples and pavilions, the whole scenic area is more like a landscape painting rather than the "Ghost City".

Day 10Departure from Chongqing

The cruise will arrive in Chongqing at 08:30. Please follow the check-out advice. Your local professional tour guide will meet you and provide a city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. A rich buffet lunch will be served at a famous restaurant. Afterwards, a comfortable private transfer to the airport for your departing flight.(B+L)
