Yangtze River is the cradle of Chinese civilization as Chinese call it "the Mother River" though she also caused calamities to the Chinese people, but it has always been and will always be the cradle of the cultures and civilizations. This is to witness the tiny fraction of it on the tiny real cradle of Victoria Cruise ship. This delightful tour starts from Shanghai - the lower reaches of the Yangtze River sailing through the greatest area of rich land of south China till it reaches Chongqing.

Pudong new area, Shanghai

Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Shanghai Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Visit the Bund and the Nanjing Road if time permits. The welcome dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine.(D)

Day 02: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden and a local family. Then you will be transferred to board the deluxe cruise ship, which begins sailing at 17:00. Dinner is served on board. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Nanjing
Full day tour of Nanjing including Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and a Qing Dynasty style Bazaar surrounding a Confucian Temple. (B+L+D)


Day 04: Excursion to Huangshan
At 07:00 am shore excursion to Mt. Huangshan ("Yellow Mountain"). (B+L+D)

Day 05: Excursion to Wuhan
Shore excursion to Wuhan for a city tour. Visit the Hubei Provincial Museum. (B+L+D)

Day 06: Yangtze River
Sailing through the Yangtze River. You may join the culture programs arranged on board. (B+L+D)

Day 07: Three Gorges Dam
At 07:30 arrive at Yichang. Sail through the Gezhou Dam; After lunch, visit the Three Gorges Dam Site. Late in the afternoon, the cruise sails through the Three Gorges Dam Ship Lock. (B+L+D)

Day 08: Yangtze Three Gorges
Begin the passage with the Xiling Gorge. Then pass the Wu Gorge with its famous lofty and misty peaks. Disembark at Wushan Daning River for an excursion to the Three Little Gorges. The trip features a fantastic natural backdrop and a wonderful boat ride along the crystal stream. The motorized sampan allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient coffins and precious animals. Later the ship will pass the Qutang Gorge, the shortest and the grandest of the Three Gorges. View the exquisite peaks and grotesquely shaped rocks. The river guides will talk about historic sites such as Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang Stairway and the hanging coffins. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Fengdu
After breakfast, disembark at Fengdu, the "Ghost City" for an excursion. Back to the ship and continue sailing. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Departure from Chongqing
The cruise will arrive in Chongqing at 08:30. Our local guide will get on board to meet you. Then the city tour to visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. A rich buffet lunch will be served at the 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze. See off. (B+L)
