If you are going to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Beijing, you may take a bus to get off at Liangmaqiao stop. Then, it will be very easy to find it. The bus routes via Liangmaqiao include No. 402, 405, 302, 974, 300, 516, 675, 503, 671, 499, 718, 731, 984, 954, 683, 701, 421, 672, 909, 421, and 207. What's more, you can get there by Subway Line 10.
On January 3rd, 1992, Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations with China. In 2005, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries is about 5 billion dollars. In 2007, it increased to around 14 billion dollars.
Located in the middle of Asia, Kazakhstan adjoins Russia on the north, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan on the south, Caspian Sea on the west and China on the east. With a temperate continental climate, the average temperature of January is – 19ºC to – 4ºC and that of July is about 19 ºC to 26ºC.
Kazakhstan has a population of around 15 million. 131 ethnic groups inhabit there, including Kazak, Russia, Ukraine, Tartar, Uzbek, German, etc. Russian is the official language. Most citizens believe in Islam. Its capital city is Astana, with a population of about 550 thousand.
Chinese citizens going to Kazakhstan should take along the valid Chinese passport to apply for Kazakhstan Visa at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Visa Office in Urumqi, Xinjiang.
