Respected Sir/Madam,
I am an American citizen studying in Jilin City,Jilin Province, China.
I require a thai tourist visa to visit my fiancee in Chiangmai for 45 days.
I know that i can get a free visa on arrival but that is only for 30 days and i want to stay in thailand for 45 days.
My question is that can i extend my free visa on arrival which is of 30 days while in chiangmai?
if it is possible please let me know about the charges and conditions.
If the extension is not possible ,may i know if there is any way i can apply for the tourist visa via mail from Jilin city?
i cannot go to beijing for the visa at the moment so i want to apply for the visa by mail or post while in jilin.
If this way is possible can you please inform me about the charges and conditions?
I have an American passport expiring after 9 years so i have no problem regarding that matter, and i have suffecient funds to support my
self during my stay.
i will be eager for your response.

I am Estonian citizen and I want to visit Thailand in February 2010. But I live in China, so my question is that can I make Thailand visa in Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing? How long will it take to get visa if I do it in Beijing? As I heard, until march there is no visa fee for EU citizens? For how long can I stay in Thailand with the usual tourist visa?
My plan is to arrive in Thailand on 3rd of February and leave on 27th of February, but during this time I also would like to visit Cambodia for three days, so do I need to get a multi-entry Thailand visa for that?
Thank you!

Ms.Mavis replied:
If you don't have the Thai residence permit or work permit, you only hold the a short term stay Thai visa, the Chinese embassy doesn't accept your application. You should apply for it from your own country.
