The general procedures for applying a visa
1. Please prepare for the required documents for applying a Tourist Visa.
2. Submit the visa application between 09:00-12:00 in the working days in the Consulate-General of PRC in Auckland. In the afternoon, the consulate doesn't deal with the applications.
3. Pick up a number at the entrance of the main hall, and queue up at the entrance of the visa hall.
4. When you wait for your number, please see the instructions put up in the hall, check your application documents and put them in order.
5. If the required documents are not sufficient, please fill in the application form, copy the documents and take a photo in Greenlane Foodtown.
6. When your number is called, please submit your application documents.
7. Get the pink PICK UP RECEIPT.
8. According to the date of PICK UP RECEIPT or announcement of the visa office, pick up your visa between 14:00-16:00 in the working days at the Consulate-General.
9. Pick up a number at the entrance of main hall, and wait for your number at the visa hall.
10. Approach the Window1 to give the pink PICK UP RECEIPT and pay fees by EFTPOS or cash (the personal check, company check or credits are not accepted)
11. Sign up at the blank area of white PICK UP RECEIPT and return it to consulate employee.
12. Pick up your visa, get the exchange and receipt.
13. Check the visa and make inquiries.
Visa Fees
Please pay by EFTPOS, cash or bank check. The company check &
personal check are not accepted. All payments should be written
in one bank check. The payee should be 'Chinese Consulate'.

| Multi-Entry with 12-month validity | NZD 180 |
2. Expedited Service Fee per Person
The regular processing time of a visa application takes 7-10 working
days. For urgent cases, the expedited service is available. However,
the urgent issuance is subject to the decision of the consulate
and it is not encouraged. Extra money is charged as following:

| 2-3 working days processing | NZD 40 |
3. Handling Service Fee for Application by Mail/Courier
| Handling Service Fee per Package/Mail | NZD 15 |
Notes:
1. Applicants should provide a self-addressed and pre-paid return
envelope with sufficient postage.
2. The visa office is not responsible for the loss or damage to
your documents during mail/courier.
3. Applications by mail/courier will be processed and mailed back
on the 5th working day since they are received. Urgent application
by mail/courier should be clearly marked URGENT on the envelope.
4. During the 15 days after you send your application by mail/courier,
please don't inquiry about your application.
5. You can choose any kind of safe and convenient post means, such
as Registered Mail, New Zealand Couriers, Courier Post.
