 Change of Method of Payment
From 1st June, 2010, applicants have to come to the "Visa Collection Room" of Chinese Consulate in Lagos with his/her own debit card to make the payment, and then collect the passport with visa.

At present, Debit Cards from the following 12 banks are accepted: Stanbic IBTC, Wema Bank, Intercontinental Bank, Bank PHB, Oceanic Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, First Bank, Skye Bank, Unity Bank and Union Bank.

According to the demand of the above 12 banks, debit card holder has to show Identity Card and sign on the receipt when he/she makes payment.

In addition, the services are provided by the banks and InterSwitch company, so service fee of 600 Naira will be charged for each payment.

 Important Notice of the Submission of Visa Application 
Applicants must submit the original invitation letter from China to book the appointment on every Tuesday or Thursday morning from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at the Visa Hall. No fax, photocopy or scanned invitation letter will be accepted. The invitation letter should be valid for only 3 months from the date of issue. Alteration or forgery of invitation letters is absolutely forbidden.

Applicants must come to the Visa Hall in person to submit the required documents according to the time appointed (every Monday, Wednesday & Friday, except holidays).

Passport with fake Chinese Visa or entry and exit stamp on it will be handed over to the Police and the passport holder will be refused entry into China permanently.

Please be advised to make sure that the application form is completely filled out, otherwise your application may be delayed or even rejected. Photocopy of the application form is acceptable.
