Could I apply for a visa for the People's Republic of China in Indonesia, if I dont have Indonesian nationality and have my permanent residence in Germany (my nationality is Polish)?

I will travel to Indonesia at 30.12. 2009 and from there, at 19.04.2010 directly next to China (jump on over Malaysia). Ill arrive Shanghai on 24th April.I would prefer to apply for a visa already in Germany before leaving for Indonesia, but that doesnt work, because the visa is valid for only 3 months after the issue.

Mrs.Jasmine replied:

You can apply for the China visa in Indonesia.

I'm an Indonesian studying abroad in Shanghai under an American university. I have a student visa valid for 180 days as of 21 July 2009, however it is only single entry and I used up that entry to go back to Jakarta this week. I figured that I would just add another entry at the China embassy while I am in Jakarta for the week, but I did not realize that it would be closed until October 7th and I had planned to go back on the 5th. What are my options? This is a very urgent matter.

Oct. 7,2009 21:37
Mr.Stanley replied:

Ms. Shannon, there is no option but wait. You have to apply for a new student visa in China Embassy in Jakrta when the embassy opens. Once the visa is issued, the visa can't be changed, so you can't add another entry to your student visa. Please tell me the duration of each stay after entry, if there is XXX for stay duration on your visa, you should apply for temporary residence permit within 30 days after entry under the help of university. However, you enter China and then go back and haven't get the residence permit.

I have a question about the multiple entry L visas

Multi-Entry Visa with 6-month Validity 600,000 1,200,000 600,000

Multi-Entry Visa with 12-month Validity 900,000 1,200,000 900,000

As we are planing to be traveling in and out of China, we want to know if either the 6 month or 12 month visas allow you to stay in China for more than 30 days at one time and how many times can you come and go from China with these Visas. My husband and I are both American and our adopted son is Indonesian.

Sep. 23,2009 04:34
Mr.Dylan¡¡ replied:

you can stay in China for at most 60 days for one entry with a multi-entry Chian visa.
you can enter and exit china unlimited times within the validity of the visa.

I am an Indonesian and My husband is a Danish, We will be Arriving in Hong Kong International airport at 20th of September 2009 and stay for 5 days, so far I understand that both of us that NO NEED Visa to enter Hong Kong .
1. During our visit in Hong Kong and Kowloon, we would like to visit Macao for one day trip , do we need visa ? If yes , can we apply from Hong Kong before our departure ? or what would be the best and the easiest and the cheapest ?
2. after Macao trip, we get back to Hong Kong and stay for another 2 days and fly back to Indonesia via Guang zhou, we arrive in Guang zhou at 14.00 pm and fly to Indonesia at 19.00, and we would like to have visit Guang Zhou for 5 hours do you think we have enough time to do it , since I do not know how far the airport to down town ? do we need visa ? can we get at Guang zhou airport easily ?
3. Please tell us what we should do the best apply all our visa required in jakarta before our trip or we apply on arrival ? Please answer as soon as you get this email since I have a bit problem to call the Chinese embassy in jakarta seems to be very busy all the time .

Sep. 9,2009 21:42
Mr.Philip replied:

1. you are free of visa to Macau, too.
2. I don't think you will have 5 hours to visit Guangzhou, since you need time to exit the airport, to apply for the visa, to go to Guangzhou city, and then you need to go back to the air port and to transact your boarding card in advance again. Meanwhile, I'm not sure whether the visa office at the Guangzhou Airport will issue the visa for you or not.
3. If you do want to visit Guangzhou and to have a smooth travel I advise you apply for the visa from the China emabssy in jakarta before your trip.

Hello,

I am holding Indonesian passport. I am now staying in China using F student visa. However, at the end of Sept I will travel to Hongkong for 10 days and then I will come back to China again. But I can not use my F visa since I am no longer a student and I will apply L tourist China Visa. My question is
1. Can indonesian paspport apply China L tourist visa in Hongkong? My concern is that during Olympics, passport holders of 33 countries couldn't apply for China Visa in Hong Kong and Macau anymore; and Indonesia in one of them. Is the restriction already over?
2. If I can get a China visa in Hongkong, how long is the duration?
3. Can I extend my L tourist visa in China?

Sep. 4,2009 01:14
Mrs.Daralis replied:

1. yes, indonesian passport holders can apply China tourist visa from the Visa Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong SAR,
Address: 7th Floor, Lower Block, China Resources Building,
No.26, Harbor Road, Wanchai
Open 09:00 to noon, and 14:00 to 17:00, Mon to Fri (except Hong Kong public holidays)
The restriction during the Olympics has been released.
2. You can apply for a China L visa with 3 months validity and 1 month duration from Hk.
3. Visas can't be extend. if you want to stay over 30 days in Chian, you can apply for the duration from the public security bureau.

Hi, I'm Natalia, holding Indonesia passport with Singapore PR. Do I need a China visa for my 6 days visit to Beijing ? Is there any China Embassy in Medan ? If not, how do I apply/submit the documents ? Can we just send the necessary documents by post to the China Embassy in Jakarta? Thanks.

Sep. 3,2009 21:33
Mr.Beardsley replied:

You need a visa for your trip to Beijing. There isn't any China embassy or consulate in Medan.
You must come to the visa office of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate -General in the consular jurisdiction in which you live to submit the application; or if you cannot come in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to come to the visa office of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate -General in the consular jurisdiction in which you live for the application process.
No visa application can be done through mail. No appointment is required.

Hello, im Indonesian citizen working in China and now holding Z visa (valid until 30 Sep).
I will have my new employer in Oct 09 and planning to go back home Indonesia for a while and apply Z visa from Chinese Embassy in Jakarta.
1. Can i know what documents I need to prepare and what documents that my new employer (company) need to provide me?
2. Is it possible to have all the documents in fax or photocopies?
3. How long the process and how much the fee? address? Valid for how long?
4. Is it also possible to do it in Hongkong? same procedures?
5. Should i do the Health Examination in Beijing or else where? I mean if im applying in Jakarta, should i do it in Jakarta?

Aug. 27,2009 04:43
Mr.Eaton replied:

1. see the answer on the official website of the China embassy in Indonesia.
http://id.china-embassy.org/eng/lsqw/visainfo/t315132.htm
2. The embassy will possibly require the original ones.
3.The regular processing time is 4 working days. Same day pickup requires express service and is charged for additional fee of RP 300,000. (applications presented before 11:30am may be picked up between 3:00pm-4:00pm on the same day, an air ticket for the same day or the next day is required). Next or Third day pickup will be charged for additional fee of RP 200,000.
The visa fee is 300,000 RP and it is valid for 3 months.
4. you can apply for the visa in Hk by the same procedure, but you may have to pay more.
5. I'm afraid you should do the health exam in Indonesia, but you have to contact the China embassy in Indonesia to confirm this.

Aug. 30,2009 21:21
Mr.Ferry(China) replied:

Thanks a lot Eaton.

In this case, if im in rush and my documents seem not completely full for Z visa, I think i can apply for F visa correct?
My question is: is stated 30days stay in China?
Is it possible to get an F visa with 6 month validity but I dont need to go out of China every single 30days?
I know there is a possibility for me to extend in China, but for how long and maximum how many times?

Aug. 31,2009 03:31
Mr.Michael replied:

Do you have all requirements for F visa? You can write your demand on the visa application for 6 months validity and 6 months stay duration, but the final decision is up to the visa officers. I 'm afriad that it is hard to get such a visa. You can only extend it for one time in China.
