I am a vietnamese and i want to travel to Hongkong so i would need to apply for HK visa in my place, Ho Chi Minh City but i tried to contact to China Consulate General office but without of reach.
Could you please help me inform that what is documents required for HK visa for vietnamese citizen ???

The normal processing time of a Chinese visa is 4 working days. Well, currently, due to the swine flu, the normal processing time has been extended from 4 working days to 6 working days in the Chinese embassy/consulates in USA. It is not sure if other Chinese missions adopt the same practice.

Generally, you are supposed to apply for Z visa in your home country. Even if you can get the visa in Vietnam, there may be more obstacles. For instance, you may be required to present a Vietnamese residency permit. It is better do the application in your country.

Sure, you can get the HK without an invitation from a HK sponsor. The invation letter is optional. The documents provided (if you have these: flights (including your onward flights ticktet to UK)and hotel booking, bank statements) will be enough for your sucessful application.
