Hi, I have an unused still valid one entry visa to china and i will be going to shanghai this week. Due to unexpected reasons i will have to go to HK for 3 days next week after i have used the one time entry visa to go to shanghai and I like to find out if it is possible to re-enter china from HK (zhuhai for 3 days)after settling my business in HK. Can i apply for a new entry visa while i am in shanghai or do i have to apply when i am in HK?

Oct. 26,2009 21:05
Mr.Michael replied:

I think you should apply for the visa to Zhuhai in HK.

Mr.Jason(Malaysia) said:

Hi,

For a Malaysia passport now in holidaying HK, is it still possible to get Visa on Arrival at Zhuhai and at which entry point?

Second question, if i get visa on arrival at shenzen and then travel to zhuhai, can i exit China from Zhuhai (jiuzhou) or do i have to go back to Shenzen to exit?

Oct. 26,2009 03:34
Mr.Lucas replied:

Mr. jason, you can get a visa on arrival at Gongbei Entry Port in Zhuhai because Zhuhai is a special economic zone which has right to issue a visa at entry port. But the tourist visa only permits you stay in Zhuhai for up to 3 days.

If you get a visa on arrival in Shenzhen, the visa on arrival only permits you stay in Shenzhen for up to 5 days, you need apply for another visa on arrival at the Zhuhai entry ports if you want to Zhuhai.

It is hard to get a visa on arrival at the mainland China except Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Xiamen.

I am planning to go to Beijing for a month in January. I have an Indian passport, but am currently living in Nepal with my wife and son, who both have British passports. I was previously told that I could get a visa in Hong Kong, but have also heard that as I am Indian I may have a problem. Is this true? Also, if I were to get a visa in Hong Kong would I need to ensure that I have all the documents mentioned on the website (ie bank statement, letter of invitation etc) Thanks.

I am french and becaus eof the long holidays in Chian, I wan unable to get a visa before my trip that has been scheduled 5 days before the trip for business visa in order to sign the contract with a factory in Guangzhou.
If I get a letter from the factory, can I get a visa on arrival at Guangzhou airport ?

You also should hold letter(s) or telegram(s) from competent authorities who give the consent for the invited guests to apply for the visa at the designated entry ports. the factory can apply for this letter in Office of Foreign Affairs or Commision of Foreign trade and commece in Guangzhou. Otherwise, you can't get the visa-on-arrival at Guangzhou airport

i'm afraid not. Actually, the embassy will be open on Oct 09, 2009. You can notice your partner in Guangzhou your special situation and ask them to delay the date for signing the contract.
