Good afternoon.
I am the holder of the passport of a citizen of Russian Federation. I am planning a trip to Hong Kong as a tourist for a period of less than 14 days, ie without a visa. Are there any restrictions on the validity of my passport for entry into Hong Kong?

Best regards

Hello,

I am an American citizen studying in Novosibirsk. My wife and I would like to visit my sister who works in China. Is there a way to receive Chinese tourist visas without traveling all the way to Moscow? I have tried two tourist agencies in Novosibirsk and they have both told me that they cannot help.

Thank you for your time,
Lucas

Hello,

I am a Turkish guy working in Moscow. My Russian visa will expire at the beginning of September and since my company needs further time to arrange a new visa and work permit, I'll be here in Moscow with a business visa till they arrange my working visa... And I am also planning to visit China in mid October and want to apply for a Chinese visa in Moscow. But during this time, I'll have only a business visa but not a working permit and working visa which will be in process... Do you think having a business visa is a restriction to apply for a Chinese tourist visa from Moscow?

Thank you in advance
Burak

Aug. 11,2009 20:13
Mr.Brian replied:

As far as I know, your Russian business visa won't matter for applying for the Chian visa.

Hello.
I am an Korean passport holder, and I plan to go to Moscow and St.petersburg for trip.
Tnen I am also going to China for study, but now I don't have enough time to get Chinese visa.
So could I get Chinese visa type F, L or X in Moscow or St.petersburg?
Now I have air ticket and school letter.
And if it is possible, how long time does it take by fastest way?
Looking forward your lovely answer!
Thanks a lot.
Lee.

Jul. 23,2009 20:27
Mr.William replied:

You can apply for the China visa from the China embassy in Russia, but it will be more difficult and expensive that that of in your homw country. The processing time is about 4 working days.

Jul. 26,2009 17:14
Mr.Alex Valderas(Russia, Moscow) replied:

Mr.Lee instead of getting Chinese student visa you might get tourist or business visa and then change it in China this would be the easiest way.

Hi,
I'm an American travelling with a UK national, we have letters of invitation/confirmation from our hotel. The hotel indicated their letters would be sufficient, and we wouldn't need a travel agency to do our paperwork. Is this accurate information?
Thank you very much.

Jul. 25,2009 21:06
Ms.Alexis replied:

You mean the visa application? Yes, you can apply for it yourself, but the hotel confirmation letter is not enough, you still need to sub mit your valid passport, a completely filled visa application form as well as your round-way air tickets.

Jul. 26,2009 17:11
Mr.Alex(Valderas) replied:

At the Chinese consulate in Moscow they might ask you invitation and air ticket.

I am a Brazilian/American Citizen living in Russia, I have the 2 passports. The problem is that my Brazilian passport is with the russian authorites beacuse they are renewing my Russian visa that expires on 31/07 and I will recieve back just on the 30/07. If I want to travel to China on 31/07 would I have time to make the chinese visa? Or I could request the visa on my american passport but this one is without the russian visa.

Thank you

Jul. 24,2009 22:54
Ms.Lilian(China) replied:

If you apply for rush service, you can pick up your visa on the second day of application. Submit application on 30/07, pick up you visa on 31/07, but I don't know whether you have time to submit application on 30/07 because you receive you Brazilian passport on that day

Dear Sir/Madam,
My 9 years old daughter (she is sharing the same passport with me) and I are going on holidays for a week to Beijing. Do I need to apply for a visa behalf of my daughter and pay a visa fee for her?
I'm confused as the Article 54 of Rules for the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Control of the Entry and Exit of Aliens says that Foreign children under 16 years of age sharing the same passport with their parents or guardians who come to China with their parents or guardians need not go through the procedures for entry, transit, residence or travel separately.
Your urgent advices would be must appreciated.

Jun. 5,2009 20:44
Ms.LILIAN(China) replied:

Mrs.Safronova, it's true that you should apply for a visa on bahalf of your daughter and pay a visa fee for her.
