Mr.George(Canada) said:

Hi, I am temp resident in Canada (valid work permit status). I am working on breast cancer and I have been invited to a conference in Shanghai in April as a speaker.
I live in Winnipeg,MB. Would I have to travel to Toronto to apply for my visa (and subsequently collect it), or I could do this in Winnipeg?. I have read that you can authorise someone else to do this for you (if I have to go to T). Is anybody aware of this procedure? Have you done it this way? IS it "F" visa that I have to apply for? I would appreciate if anybody out there provides me with some detailed feedback.
Thanks in advance for your time.
George

Aug. 23,2009 02:51
Mr.Abbey(Canada) replied:

Mr.George, you have to apply for China visa from Chinese Consulate General in Toronto because it's consular jurisdiction covers Manitoba. You can't apply for visa from Winnipeg because there is no Chinese consulate in Winnipeg. yes, you can ask someone else or travel agency in Toronto to do this for you and you needn't go to Winnipeg, you just need send required docuemnts to them and pay its service and visa fees. Them can send visa back to you.

Is it possible for me to request an extension to my China Visa in Toronto? if so, how much more do I have to pay? or can I pay an extra $50 and get the 12 month visa (12 month-multiple iS $150 CAN)

Can you please advise what I can do?

Good afternoon,

I have a question regarding birth certificate.

My daughter was born in Beijing in 1988, and went to Italy in 1994 and came to Canada in 1996 with us. She is a Canadian citizen now. She is a full time student in Waterloo University and applying for a coop opportunity in Neitherland; It is required that the applicant submit a birth certificate issued within the last 12 months, I wonder if you could issue a birth certicate for her. We had one issued by Italian Embassy before we moved to Canada, but it is too old.

Please let us know how we can apply for that, what document we need provide.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks a lot!

Please Help,
What type of CHINA VISA (single entry, 2 entry or multi entry VISA) l need for the follwing cruise:

ITINERARY:

April 18 boarding ship in hongkong
April 19, 20 AT SEA
April 21, 22 SHANGHAI CHINA
April 23, 24 AT SEA
April 25, 26 BEIJING (Xingang)
April 27 DALIAN

THEN THE SHIP LEAVES CHINA AND MOVES TO SOUTH KOREA, JAPAN, ALASKA USA AND VANCOUVER CANADA.

Mar. 30,2009 20:13
Mr.Hugh(Mexico) replied:

You probably need a single entry visa because you cross the Chinese border only for once. After you arrived in Shanghai China, you cruised at East China Sea. This is my understanding but I am not sure about this. it's better for you to contact the cruise ship. They understand well the scenario and the way to handle it.
