I am am American citizen studying in S. Korea and have the student visa D-4-4. What other necessary documents do I need to bring besides my passport and student card to obtain a tourist visa to Beijing China. I am planning to go to Beijing on the May 27, 2009 coming back June 4, 2009. Thank you!

Jun. 22,2009 14:55
Ms.Mckenzie(USA) replied:

hello, I was searching on google when I found this page and read your response to a question. I saw that you are an American citizen with a D4 visa in South Korea. Could you tell me if you are studying language there or if you are studying as an exchange student, taking regular classes. I will be going to South Korea soon and I was just given a D4 visa. I emailed the university I will be attending in Korea and they told me I needed a D2 visa to take regular classes. I am confused and if you could help me out a little I would be thankful.

Thanks

Jun. 22,2009 22:49
Mr.George(USA) replied:

Hi Mckenzie, you could get the answer from the embassy of the South Korea directly.

Mr.Williams(UK) said:

I will be going to work in South Korea in August and my girlfriend is Chinese, lives in Zhuhai and has a mainland Chinese passport. How troublesome will it be for her to obtain a tourist visa to visit me for two or three weeks? I assume she can apply at the Guangzhou Consulate, but will they require any documents in addition to her passport, photographs and duly-completed application form? If so, what documents are they? I'm much obliged for your assistance in this matter.

May. 18,2009 04:07
Mr.Honson replied:

For short-term visit, no other documents are required, I assume. If it want to be free of trouble, it is better to entrust a travel agency or visa agency to submit the application.

May. 19,2009 01:51
Mr.Morgan(China) replied:

There will definitely be other documents. She can't get a visa for hardly anywhere without documents. For your information, she can't get a tourist visa at all for Singapore. Even an agency told advised her of that in advance. So, I guess South Korea might be even worse and on a par with Japan. The Chinese need a visa to go to EVERY country in the world, including parts of their own country. Having a Chinese girlfriend is a travel nightmare.
