Could you please comment on the point, where it is written that to get a visa I need to get a travel/medical ensurance, and the minimun coverage is 30.000 Euro.
Does it mean I have to pay 30K to get this ensurance?
Thanks a lot

We will be travelling to China in the coming month to adopt a child in Chongqing. We are british citizens. Our child will be given a british visa in the chinese passport before we leave china, but we want to spend some time in Spain before going to the uk. Do we need to get a visa for him to enter spain and how do we obtain one, as there isn't a consulate in Chongqing.
Thank you, Kay

Mr.Ryan(China) replied:

A Spanish visa is required for entry. You have to go to Beijing or Shanghai to submit the application.

Hello,
Im a Vietnamese citizen living in Shanghai,China. Im planning on visiting Spain & France this summer. France would be my 1st destination, however Spain 'd be the main one as i will stay longer there.
According to French consulate's regulation, i should go to Consulate of the country that is my main destination (Spain) to apply for the schengen visa However, generally, I should go to Embassy/Consulate of the 1st country I'll visit in Schengen group.(France).
Please kindly advise me where should be the right place to go, and also let me know what kinds of ducumentations i should prepare.
Thanks in advance.
Pls email : linny2010@gmail.com

Apr. 30,2009 04:12
Mrs.Winslet(Austria) replied:

Well, you can simply apply for a French visa and after your entry into France. You can convert your visa to a schengen visa.

May. 4,2009 02:47
Ms.HuongLinh(Vietnam) replied:

Thank you. But I'd like to find a way that save time, I'll be staying in France only 1 or 2days, it doesnt sound good to worry about the paper work in stead of sightseeing ;)

Thank you in advance.

Mr.FRANCISCO(spain) said:

Hi everybody. My name is Francisco. I am an spanish citizen living in New York Cityand and married to a wonderfull chinese woman named Tong from Taiyuan, Shanxi province. This June, me , my wife, my two stepchildren, and my daughter are traveling to Barcelona to visit my mother. This would be the first time that my family visits Spain. Also, my parents-in-law and brother-in-law are coming. My questions are the following: Can my parents-in-law book a hotel room in Barcelona for themselves or they have to get it through a travel agency? If they get the room, do they still need an invitation letter? Can my mother get an invitation letter for them? Is it too dificult? Which way is the least complicated? In 2007, I was a guest in my in-laws house and I was treated superbly. I want to return the favor to them in Spain. Thank you for your advice and suggestions.

Francisco Garcia
