hello, vicky. I am trying every means to lose weight now. And i'd like to share with you. I think drink tea can help me lose weight especially wulong tea. In my opinion, diet is not a good way. If you stop immediately, you will gain much more weight than before. Tea is actually good for your health. Anyway it works on me quite well but i do not know whether it is good for you, but you can have a try! Wish we will be slimer, cheers!

i am a muslim..is it easy to get muslims foods in shenzhen,hk and macau?

Feb. 14,2009 20:14
Ms.Yuan(China) replied:

In China, Muslims are especially from the Hui people. As the Hui people mostly live in northwest of China, Muslim restaurants are common to see in the northwest, especially in Xian, Ningxia, Qinghai, Gansu and Xinjiang. In South China, there are not so many Muslim restaurants. As I know, there are some Muslim restaurants in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. However, it's just 'some', not 'many'. Thus, I think it may be not so easy for you to find it. I suggest you carry some Muslim food when you go to these cities.

I'd like to thank you all for the replies. I'm in Canada. I have a ton of Asian recipe books (Chinese, Japanese, Thai). You name it, I got it. I got to wondering how people realy eat in these countries. If the recipes were typical.

I have started making my own won ton soup and some dumplings and shao mai and find they turned out wonderfully. We have a supermarket that sells some of the ingredients I need, but I think I'm going to have to go into Montreal and further to find some of the other stuff called for in the recipes.

Thanks a lot :))

Steamed dumpling is my favorite. In Shanghai, people are so fond of it. Also in Hong Kong, it's a very popular snack in teahouse. What's more, I like stir-fried rice noodles with sliced beef. I suggest you go to try it in Guangzhou. So delicious!
