"The tour was very good. Longsheng and Sanjiang were very scenic and the guides very good. We enjoyed climbing the mountain (this is a vigorous walk) to the Zhuang village that overlooked the beautiful terraced fields. The lunch at the hostel was very good. The Longsheng hotspring hotel was fine. We enjoyed the Red Yao village and the hanging bridge. The drive to Sanjiang was eventful (traffic jam in a small village during market day and a washed out road because of a landslide) and we enjoyed every minute. The Sanjiang hotel room was the least desirable hotel of all our accommodations. However, the food was fine and the room was okay. The Sanjiang guide was very good and we enjoyed the sights including the walk through the Dong Village, the wind/rain bridges, the waterwheels, and the visit to the primary school where our daughter took a look at the village school. We enjoyed our lunch at the village hostel. In retrospect, in would have been enjoyable to stay at one of these hostels. Especial, the Dong village hostel in Sanjiang (very peaceful surroundings) considering the conditions of the Sanjiang hotel. The mountain top hostel in the Zhuang village would also have been interesting but I would not want to carry anything up the mountain, for example luggage.
The Li River trip was great, and we enjoyed our stay in Yangshuo; bike riding etc. (of course the hotel here was very nice perhaps the best hotel during the trip). Our time in Guilin was short however we enjoyed what we saw (I guess you never have enough time). The primary guide was very good and also the driver. The vehicle was good and clean
