"Thank you for all the arrangement in China. Everything went well and my parents in law and myself enjoy the trip eventhough it is a bit hectic. We are already talking about another trip to China early next year and I will contact you then to make arrangement. My comments are as follows:

Hotels: Kunming hotel and Lijiang grand hotel is good with good western breakfast. Asia hotel breakfast is not for the western people. Not so good and I do not really like the hotel. Too big and too many tourists. Lijiang grand is my favourite and if I do return for a visit I will stay there again.
Tour guides: Our trip was enjoyable as we do have good guides.

My comments on them are:
Kunming: Xu Wen Can ( Scott). He is excellent. Speaks good English and very helpful and caring for the old people. Helped us wiht our luggage. The driver , Bi is also pleasant smiling all the time eventhough he does not speak any English. Excellent inter personal relationship. Top marks for him .

Lijiang: The guide of Lijiang CITS there fell below our expectation. English was acceptable. Not helpful at all. When we arrived into Liijiang, it was raining and he did not get the van to come close to the arrival terminal. we had to walk to the parking lot and he did not even offer to help with the luggage. I had to ask him to help my mother in law with one of her bags. When we were on the tour, he does explain much and always walking way in front of us not realising that I have two 70 year old people with me. Does not semm to be interested in what he is doing. He needs more interpersonal skills. Need more training and experience.

Dali: John or Xiao Li is good and really proud of Dali and explain well on the sights. English is ok. I enjoy his tour guides. He was very helpful and even help us in our shopping to get a good price.
