"We just wanted to let you know that the tour went very smoothly and wanted to thank you for your help (and patience!) in working with us.
The air tickets arrived at the Sheraton without incident. The flights were fine. The hotels were good (The Sheraton Guilin being quite a bit better than the Paradise Yangshuo.) We particularly enjoyed a day in Yangshuo of bike riding - about 50km through the breathtaking countryside and several small villages.
Our guide, Wei, was outstanding. His knowledge of the area and his insightful curiousity about us was impressive. Heather and Alex have been using guides in several other countries and they consistently commented to me that Wei was by far the best guide they had encountered.
If we had one request for a change, it probably would have been to take a smaller boat down the Li River, but were not even sure if any such boats make the trip.

"We found our trip very enjoyable. It was well organised and the arrangements all worked very efficiently. We have no hesitation in recommending your company to others and have, in fact, already done so.
Our only comments are as follows:
the timing of some of the evening meals seemed to be more for the convenience of the guides than what was suitable for us. Trying to get dinner rebooked for later always seemed very difficult. A dumpling dinner at 5.30pm was hard work. we understand that guides are required to take visitors to at least one government shop per day but we found the sales pressure in these shops irritating which is why we asked for shopping to be reduced to a minimum.
This would be a reaction most from the West would have.We would have preferred one night in Yangshuo with a transfer back to Guilin on the evening of May16. We might not have had the same reaction if there had been a better hotel.

The trip to Xian is perfect. I did not get to meet you, but Dorothy representing your company well. She did a good job.
The trip to Beijing, you had sold that part to another company, it is understandable. They are fine.
