Dear Vicky Dong/Sally Si,

My son and I enjoyed our tour immensely. I'd gladly recommend the tour to others.

If it's not too much trouble, please provide a list of email addresses for everyone in our tour group so that we can stay in touch. We had all discussed making this request at the last dinner.

The diversity of the small group (English, Canadian, Australian, American) added to the enjoyment of the tour. In fact, the companionship of the tour group was one of the most enjoyable aspects of the tour. Recommend ending the cruise immediately after the three gorges dam or after the last gorge. The cruise ship was perfectly acceptable. Adding another day in Shanghai (we were too rushed trying to accomplish everything in one day). Recommend picking a different hotel in Shanghai. The one selected is a little bit far from the hotspots.

Water was distributed generously each day. The meals were excellent. My son and I were particularly fond of the dumplings.

All the guides did well. The guide in Xian, Wuhan, and Shanghai did exceptionally well. The guide that took us to the temple at the top of the mountain along the Yangtze River also did exceptionally well, despite rainy conditions.

Dear Nancy Bai,

I apologise for not having contacted you earlier following our visit to China in April. The visit was an outstanding success. I was nice to meet you in person at your office in Xi'an.

I would like to congratulate the Travel China Guide Service for its attention to detail and the provision of excellent, well informed and friendly tour guides at each of our four locations. "Long Long" in Shanghai informed us that we were her first "seniors" and that she felt slightly apprehensive. Her charm, enthusiasm and warmth set the scene for the remainder of our visit. Nancy in Bejing, Peggy in Xi'an and William in Guilin kept up the high standard.

Peter very much appreciated the kindness of your organisation in providing the "birthday cake" to highlight a most memorable night and dinner in Xi'an. A very special thanks to Peggy Blue for her work behind the scenes in the training of "the Choir" to sing Happy Birthday in English.

The Private Tour fully met our expectations. We have already mentioned your organisation Travel China Guide to a number of our friends.

Warm regards,

Peter and Barbara Patmore
Hobart, Australia.
