Without any reservation I can say that this China travel was one of the best vacations I had taken in a long time. All the arrangements Travel China Guide had made went smoothly. The hotels were great. The food was excellent - clean, well prepared and presented beautifully. The lunch in Xian was exceptional. So was the dumpling fare in Hong Kong. The food served on the cruise boat I took on Li river was unexpectedly good. There was too much to eat!!

But what made this China tour so pleasant and comfortable was the services the guides provided. They were caring and considerate. All spoke good English. I particularly enjoyed the conversations I had with Long Long in Shanghai. (Please let her know that). The young man who was my guide in Guilin was hard working and very good. So was Jun I met in Xian. She took pains to explain the history in great detail. Marcus in Beijing, my first guide, was very good and helpful. The cars were clean and the drivers were quite particular about my comforts. Unfortunately I could not speak to them in Chinese. Kevin, in Hong Kong spoke good English, of course.

If I have one request it is that I would have enjoyed having my meals with the guides and the drivers rather than eat alone. I realize that when there is a large group this may not be advisable. But I was by myself and I would have welcomed the opportunity to interact with the staff and learn more about the people of China. Please do give my thanks and my good wishes to all the guides and drivers I had met.
