Dear Jessica and Emma,

Thanks for your thorough follow up. We were very pleased with most aspects of our tours throughout Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. I would like to first thank Emma in your office, who handled my issue of changing airline tickets when we were in Wuhan. She was very quick to contact me with information regarding how to best handle my problem. I received my refund in a timely fashion in Beijing, so all went well.

As for the individual tour guides, we were well taken care of in each city. I would like to compliment in particular Nancy in Beijing, with whom we spent 3 days. She gave us great information as well as safety tips, etc. Another guide who we thought was great was Rebecca in Hangzhou, who braved heavy rains to take us to the West Lake. John in Shanghai was also very thoughtful and conscientious. Liz in Suzhou shared her love of the Chinese gardens. We would definitely recommend your services to other China travellers. All the drivers were excellent too. We were given 2 bottles of water per person each day, which we felt was plenty.

In terms of the content of the tours, as this was the first trip for most of us, the pace and selection of sights was quite appropriate. We felt that the only place we would not return to is Zhouzhuang, which seemed too commercialized.

The hotels were all very good. The meals were mostly excellent, but the main criticism which we had (if you could call it that), was the quantity of food was in most cases more than the 3 of us could finish. A lot of food went to waste, and I think next time I would specify a limit to the amount of cost, or would prefer not to prepay the meals, to have better control over the amount. That being said, the best meals we had were the following: Beijing Duck dinner at QuanJuDe was truly remarkable, lunch after the Great Wall was excellent, and dinner in WangBaoHe (Shanghai) was also terrific. I'd say the only really bad meal we had was the lunch place in Suzhou, near the silk mill. That was a quasi Western buffet that was not good at all. Another meal in Beijing - lunch at the ***, was very good, but the service was not the same level.

Lastly, thank you for keeping the "shopping" destinations down to a minimum. We bought plenty of keepsakes, and have very positive memories of our trip.

I would like to request the names of the tour agencies in each location, with addresses as I would like to send our tour guides thank you letters.

Best regards,
Anli Tien Leong
