  We (four persons) took a private modified Silk Road tour from May 31 to June 14, 2006, which took us to Beijing, Urumqi, Turpan, Dunhuang, Lanzhou, Guilin, Suzhou and Shanghai. This is the second time I used Travel China Guide, I booked my first trip with them in 2002.

The booking is easy, I did them all on line with no problem. They are prompt, reliable, they understand what you like and arranged accordingly. The price they quoted was fair.

They are true professionals. It would be even simpler if they take credit card.

The trip was arranged exactly the way we wanted, (so as the last trip in 2002). They sold us the trip and they did oversee and look after us during the trip. It is understandable that they have to use some other agency to conduct the tours in certain cities. But, when we became unhappy, all it took was to send them an email. They corrected the situation in matter of hours at night and we really appreciated that.

We will use Travel China Guide again; this likely would be in 2008 after the rush of Olympic since I am not a sport fan.

I highly recommend Travel China Guide to you.

We are back to our very busy lives of demanding jobs and raising two young boys, so I'll have to keep this short!

In general, we liked all of the meals that were prearranged. Particularly the ones with a set menu, as I think they have figured out what "Westerners" like to eat. At the times when we needed to order ourselves, it would have been helpful if the guides had been able to provide us some good suggestions, as we didn't always know what we should try. But it was nice that we could try several things, so even if we didn't like one of them, we had plenty to eat.

The drivers were all very professional and accommodating.

All of the guides were very nice. Our guide in Guilin, Shirley, was OUTSTANDING! She is very personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and we really enjoyed our time with her and exploring Guilin and Yangshuo. That was our favorite part of the trip. We wish we could have spent more time there. You are very fortunate to have someone of her talent and expertise working with your company! We have several friends who would like to visit China. I will definitely tell them to contact Travel China Guide, and will make sure they ask for Shirley to be their guide in Guilin. We got very spoiled with Shirley, who has many more years of experience and was so exceptional!

Thank you for arranging our special and memorable China vacation. When our boys are a bit older, we will plan to visit again!
