GUIDES:
Our guides in both cities were EXCELLENT. Both guides were very conscientious and knowledgable and both were able to communicate very well with us. Each of them went above and beyond their responsibilities to make our trip special.

Pempa, our guide in Lhasa, had a great sense of humor and was very friendly and knowledgable. He did a great job of pacing our journey in order to lessen the affects of the altitude. We'd all highly recommend him.

Lily, our guide in Beijing was also wonderful. She is knowledgable about the sites and the history of Beijing and made them come alive. She also arranged for a cake for my step-mother's birthday and brought a thoughtful gift. She made a personal connection with all of us and made our stay in Beijing very special.

MEALS:
Breakfast in Lhasa wasn't exceptional, but provided the nutrition we needed. Lunches in Lhasa were good. Our favorite lunch restaurant was the New Mandala. The Yak sizzler was great.

In Lhasa, we had dinner at the Dunya restaurant, the Yak hotel, the Nam-Tso (in the Banok Shol hotel), and the Dhood Gu restaurant. All of them were good.

In Beijing, the food at the lunch restaurants was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at all locations.

Our favorite meal in Beijing was a dinner we arranged at the Restaurant on the lake in Bai Hai park. All of the dishes were delicious and the presentation was phenomenal.

DRIVERS:
The drivers in both cities were great! They were both friendly and on time every day. The cars were very clean and the drivers drove very safely.
