Hi Frieda,

Here is some feedback about our time in China. Once again we were all very happy with everything you organised for us. In regard to the three areas you wanted to know about:

1. Meals- we only organised to have lunches and all were excellent. We really liked the lunch we had on the second day in Xian.

2. Guides- all our guides were excellent. They were easy to understand and gave us plenty of good information about the places we visited.

3. Cars: all the drivers were very helpful and on time. After sightseeing, they were always waiting to pick us up promptly.

Again, thank you Frieda for a wonderful holiday. We all have some great memories of China.

The quality and presentation of all of the food was superior and delicious. My only concern was the amount of food we got! It was way too much, and we felt guilty leaving it unfinished. I hope it was not thrown away, but served to people in need. It is difficult to say which meal we enjoyed the most, but perhaps it was the lunch after the Great Wall at a local restaurant and cloissonie factory. It was a nice change of pace to eat in the countryside.

The breakfast brunch at the hotel was excellent too. It was nice to enjoy a mix of cultural breakfast favorites.

All of the guides spoke English quite well. They are all quite knowlegable about all the historic sites we visited.

The drivers were friendly and drove safely. The cars were very clean.

Kelly in Beijing was particularly skillful at her job. She was very attentive and anticipated in advance what we might need. I also liked the fact that she was flexible. She suggested that we might want to adjust our trip to the Great Wall, since it was to an area not well restored, and recommended an alternative, less crowded section. We followed her suggestion, and were very glad. Another time, we mentioned that we were interested in learning about traditional Beijing, and since we had some extra time one afternoon, Kelly arranged for a reputable guide to take us on a Hutong Tour. She was also continually looking after our purchases, so that we were not taken advantage of. She was great.

Phoebe in Xian was very friendly and also flexible with our schedule, since there was just two of us.
