Dear Irene,
Back to France with plenty of good memories. The China tour was very well organized and meeting our expectations in all places were we stayed. A very good surprise to meet Ir¨¨ne in Xian, showing the attention paid by Travel China Guide to its customers.
As we consider cooking as part of the country culture , we were very excited to have new food tasting opportunities each day, and followed the recommendations of our local guide to compose the meals. We would recommend especially 2 meals in Xian : the lunch at local cantonese restaurant because of very original and different meals, and also the great dumplings banquet in the evening.
All guides were very good, very attentive , punctual and consciencious. Their English was OK for us in all circumstances and we even got a French speaking guide for few hours in Ychang. They demonstrated a wide knowledge in all places we visited in both local history, cultural topics and today aspects of Chinese way of life.
All car drivers were good and we were impressed by the smooth way they managed to drive in Shanghai or Beijing heavy traffics. Cars were kept clean and the 2 bottles of water always available.
Our special thanks would go to Marcus in Beijing, Ruth in Xian and Jandy in Shanghai, both have provided a very efficient and friendly service, including support to search for medicines in Beijing, or providing advise for shopping decisions, or just speaking and exchanging.
All places that we visited were worth to see, in some cases we would have appreciated some more time to explore deeper and slowly some spots, but we agree that the timing for such a complete tour is to be respected.
So many memorable moments but may be from all of them : the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, wonderfull landscapes during the Yangtse River cruise, etc...
We would like especially to testify on the quality of the tour organisation by Travel China Guide for this quite complex trip , in all aspects including hotels, domestic air travels, timely transfers, visits, before and during the tour.
We agree that you mention our E-mail address in your Testimonial column.
Also a small precision: when filling in the Evaluation sheets on each site departure I misunderstood the question concerning the " places we did not want to go ..". Actually I ticked the boxes for the places we were to and that we appreciated. Only one reserve may be on the Beijing " Museum of Silk" which has nothing to see with a museum, but is in fact a very short introduction room to the local Sales Shop, were we felt very rapidly to be forced to purchase.
Thanks again to the Travel China Guide team and may be see you for a next vacation in China
