Itinerary: 15 Days Small Group of Beijing - Xian - Lhasa - Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise - Yichang - Shanghai
Hi,

Here are some pictures as promised.

I particularly enjoy a diversification of Nationality within the tour group as long as we can understand each other. In our tour group, we had a variety of needs, tastes, and cultural differences. To me these added to the overall enjoyment immensely.

I think we spent about the right amount of time on various activities. I enjoyed, pretty well, every activity.

I enjoyed the meals!! I probably ate too much!! I particularly enjoyed the Yak curry that Bimba arranged for us in Lasa. I also enjoyed the Beijing Wangfujing Area Cantonese restaurant for Lunch - they had the best looking room for us and they also decorated their food really lavishly - incredible and very tasty!! I am attaching a picture to show how beautiful it all looked.

I would like to suggest that you plan smaller meals and perhaps fewer as well. For example, you should serve only continental breakfast at the Hotel and follow it up with an early Lunch (Slightly smaller in size) at about 12 noon and then finish up with Dinner at the usual time (6 - 7pm). I found that many times I was not ready to eat dinner - I was still full from my Lunch!

Another suggestion, Beer and White Wine must be served chilled (very cold) to your Canadian/American guests - that is how we like it. Red wine can be served at room temperature. Please provide a little bit of time to enjoy the Beer / Wine before bringing the Lunch / Dinner (perhaps 20 minutes?).

All our guides were wonderful and made our trip unforgettable:

Rose (Beijing) was very knowledgeable and she answered many questions about everyday life, people, politics, history, cultural, religious, ethnicities, etc. A great introduction to China!! She was patient with me when I almost got lost at the Great Wall - Thank you!!

Ruth (Xian) was a very happy person to be with. She made us smile and her Southern (Texan?) accent was very striking and humorous to us (Canadians).

Bimba (Lhasa) was the best!! He was happy, smiling, accommodating of needs (to change the itinerary as we asked him to do so) and he was very helpful. My wife was quite sick (altitude) and Bimba did not leave us by ourselves - he stayed to help, took us to a store to buy some Carbonated water (Sprite) - helped to get my wife to the Hotel Doctor. Thank you Bimba!! He spent a lot of time at the Airport sorting out our Luggage in the way back from Lhasa.

Shelly (Shanghai) was, again, very accommodating to change itinerary as requested and yet to accommodate everybody. She guided us for the Shopping that we wanted to do.

I was very happy with our tour busses and also the drivers. They did a great job! Thank you, all!!.

Please feel free to quote me on your website. I will enclose some pictures as well.

My final suggestion for improvement, would be to allow prospective clients to somehow authenticate yourself. When I was ready to pay for the tour, I wanted to ensure that you were a legitimate travel organization. The only assurances I obtained were to verify your article in the New York times, to verify your membership in PATA and lastly, because the Concierge at the Hyatt in Xian responded back to my email stating that you were a legitimate business. You need to provide a way for people to ensure that you are legitimate and will provide the service that you have promised to.

Regards..Advinder
