  Now that I am back home, I wanted to let you know that this China trip was absolutely great! Everything about it more than met all my expectations. The unexpected stay in Chengdu before getting to Tibet (due to weather) became a highlight of the tour for me as Lewis (who took care of the stranded group) took us to visit the Panda Preserve where I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to hold a 6 month old baby panda! And even with the delay, we still were able to see all the things in Tibet that were most important to us.

The small size of the your groups is really a plus. In our case, we were even more fortunate in that the 13 of us really got along great. And the mix of nationalities made it interesting. The hotels were outstanding. And the guides [Rose in Beijing, Jesse in Xian, YanZee (not sure I spelled this correctly) in Tibet, and the guide in Shanghai (sorry, I dont remember his name)] not only spoke English very well but were also all very informative, personable, and accommodating.

It was great to actually meet Maggie, as we have enjoyed our E-Mail contacts with her over the past 8 months. Your company does a great job of keeping us informed!

Thanks so much for a very memorable time! This trip to China will always be one of my favorite journeys!

Our China trip was really great! Thank you! We hope to return to Tibet and do more next time. My reply to your questions is below.

The dishes we liked the best and would recommend were the yak steak, the steamed fish that we had during lunch the second day, and the hot and sour soup we had at the restaurat for lunch.

Our guides were exellent and very helpful with all our questions. PooPoo had great knowledge about all the palaces, temples, etc...that we visited! We really learned a lot!! Our guide spoke great English. Our driver didn't speak too much, but that was ok, he was focusing on the road when we drove around the city. The car was very clean and our driver was very knowledgable about how to get to where we needed to be. He was a very nice person.

Our Tibet tour was great! It exceeded our expectations. Our guide taught us about Buddhism, Tibet's history and much more. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to travel back to Tibet in 2 years and maybe visit more of it!
