  Cynthia,

Please see our comments on the tour as below:

For the meal, The final day ( 5/05/07) Lunch at a local restaurant called New Mandala Restaurant, very good Menu, service and quality.

We had only one Guide and he was excellent all round with a very good command of English. We communicated with each other fluently and he was very knowledgable about each site we visited. We have a very safe and comfortable driver. The vehicle was kept clean and fresh all the time.

Our one Guide was at all times helpful and very knowledgeable of all the Tibetan sites visited and was aware of and able to talk on elements of other countries outside of Tibet. He was a genuine nice person, complete with a charming and pleasant disposition. Every day of the whole trip was memorable but, we still desire to return to Tibet perhaps by an overland route so as to embrace even more of the Tibetan culture and History.

Thanks for arranging such an excellent Tibet trip for us. We will definitely recommend travelchinaguide.com to our family and friends.

  Hello Frieda and Hebe,

Thank you for arranging a wonderful China tour for the six of us. The tour was everything you promised and completely exceeded our expectations, at a very reasonable price. We were met promptly by guides 100% of the time. The cars were all modern, comfortable, and clean. The drivers were courteous and helpful. The guides all spoke good to excellent English and were well educated in explaining history and other aspects of events or sites. The food was excellent and we often had private rooms in restaurants. The "5-star" hotels were all world class and had very comfortable accommodations. Also, the hotels were all well located for walking to shopping, parks, etc. Although the internal China flights arrangements seemed to be changing a lot, we always had reserved seats, and the guides knew of the changes and adjusted our schedules accordingly.

When our delayed plane arrived very late in Xian from Beijing, Echo, our guide called the hotel and had them keep the buffet dinner open late for us. When one of our group needed some assistance with the many steps at the sites in Beijing, Nancy, our guide, was always there holding her hand and helping her, or staying with her while some of us climbed higher on the Great Wall. Lee, our guide in Guilin, overheard that one of our group was having a 60th birthday while in Guilin. On the day of the birthday, Lee brought him a beautiful birthday cake and we had a party at lunch, with cake, candles and singing.

We particularly liked that we experienced all of the Beijing and Xian history in the first week of the trip when we were fresh, and then moved to relaxing on the Yangtze River and enjoying the modern cities of Shanhhai and Hong Kong.

The shows were very enjoyable. Our favorite by far was the amazing Shanghai acrobatic show. Our second favorite was the Sichuan Opera in Chengdu, with comedy, music, and the incredible fast mask changing. The staff show on the Yangtze River Cruise was also very well done, especially since the performers were not professionals, rather staff on the boat.

Our guides took us to some very nice shops. Our favorites were the silk emboidery gallery in Yichang, and the Cloisonne factory in Beijing. We purchased some some beautiful art and souvenirs.

Travel China Guide is a first class organization with first class service.

Best regards,
Ken Sills
