Dear Cynthia,

I believe that the time spent was sufficient to satisfy everybody on the tour, as different people have different interests some would prefer to spend longer than others at some sites but I thought that the time was adequate and that by being part of a small group it allowed more flexibility if required.

I thought that the meals were excellent and provided a range of styles and flavours to suit most people. We had some great meals and it is hard to pick out just one as being the best but I would say that the lunch we had on the way to the Great Wall at Badaling and the Dumpling Banquet were my favourites.

The guide at Guilin was conscientious but rather quiet. Although he is being compared to some very knowledgeable and experienced guides (Echo in Xian and Jean in Huangshan) he could have passed on more knowledge of history and features of the city and surrounding areas. We found that the female guides were a lot more talkative than the males but this is probably normal.

The language skills of the guides were excellent and did not cause any problems.

I believe that our guide in Guilin had a vast knowledge of the area but it was so normal to him that he may not have thought that it would interest us. As he is relatively inexperienced I think that he will improve and be a great guide, he has a good personality and is very easy to talk to.

The service of the cars was excellent; drivers were always on time, very friendly and courteous and did an amazing job of driving in the traffic.

I would like to compliment Echo on her knowledge, her attention to detail and her ability to entertain and keep us interested with her stories during the bus rides.

I really loved Jean, our guide in Huangshan, I felt as if she was a long time friend who had taken us to Mt Huangshan to show us the sites.

She knows all the features on the mountain and made the walking an enjoyable event. On the second day the hotel was going to serve the same lunch menu as the previous day but Jean ensured that we had something different to eat.

Her little sayings and jokes kept us entertained and laughing as we trekked across the mountain.

On arrival back in Huangshan we had a long wait for the train so Jean arranged a visit to an ink manufacturer followed by a great meal. She then accompanied us to a pool hall so we could fill in the last two hours before the train arrived.

On leaving I'm sure we had a tear in our eyes.

I was unsure of dealing with Travel China Guide as it was just a name on the internet and was someone who I had no knowledge of and whom no one I knew had ever dealt with.

From my first contact I found Cynthia to be extremely helpful and persevered with us as we arranged passports and visas at the last moment

After having spent three weeks in China in the care of Travel China Guide I would not hesitate to recommend the service (which I have already done so) to any one who is thinking of travelling to China!

I found the service excellent, everything was perfectly organised, and the guides were amazing in their knowledge and attention to details and did not hesitate to help in any manner if required.

In comparison to tour groups operating in Europe, Travel China Guide is far ahead in the service that is provided.

There are no optional extras; everything is included from all meal to entrance tickets and live shows which, from my experience in Europe is always an extra.

Well done Travel China Guide, I am looking forward to using your service again!
