Dear Emma Lu/ Cherry Lee,

So sorry about my slow response to your last e-mail. Peter and myself moved to another location and have had a lot of problems with the internet, which as of yesterday has hopefully been rectified.

We enjoyed our tour very much and apart from queueing at the Domestic terminal in Guangzhou instead of International for a return flight change we had no other problems during our trip. We realise the change of flights is not due to the disorganisation of your tour company.

We especially enjoyed every lunch provided, more so the one provided by the villagers, but were a little disappointed with the breakfasts, apart from the 2 Sheratons. The breakfast buffet in Kaili had very little food left on our first morning.

Yang was a wonderful guide and we would certainly recommend her to other travellers. She was always very informative and could answer most of our questions.

Unlike our guide (Henry?) who picked us up from the Guilin airport......we booked him by ourselves (not arranged by TravelChinaGuide) for the following day for a trip to Yangshou and Xingping, but found he was just there for the ride. We had no inclination to book him for the following day!

Both cars were very clean and the driving skills of both drivers of a good standard.

We would like to do another tour in the future ( perhaps Yunnan ) when we next visit HK.

Hi Kina,

Sorry it has taken me a few days to respond. Getting back to work was not easy! We had an absolutely great time and your tour company performed beyond our expectations. The people were great, friendly and most helpful. Our tour guide, Gloria, we cannot say enough good things about. She had a good command of the English language and a delightful sense of humor. We were also impressed of her knowledge of the historic places we visited.

Gau the driver was extremely accommodating and was literally at every doorstep to pick us up and deliver us to the next location. He knew the city well and we felt very comfortable with his driving skills. His van was always neat, and warm!

As for the food, hard to distinguish the best meal as they all were good. We were very impressed with the service at each restaurant as it seemed like every time we needed something, a waiter or waitress were there right before we needed it! Great food and service at all of the restaurants.

The Holiday Inn at Central Plaza was a treat as well. For sure a 4 star hotel. We were most impressed with how helpful the entire Holiday Inn staff was in attending to our needs and how many of them that spoke English. It embarrassed us that we could not respond as well in Chinese! Their breakfast buffet was unbelievable!

My wife has not downloaded the pictures yet, (as soon as we got back to the states she took off on a business trip) but we will send you some photos. Again, great job, great staff and give our best especially to the guide, Gloria who was fabulous.
