Dear Judy/Brenda

Thank you very much for all the arrangements during our recent trip to China. The trip was fantastic and overall I was very pleased with the quality of the service provided.

The hotels used in all the cities was first class and conveniently located. The use of different restaurants for lunch and dinner provided a good range of the different styles of Chinese cuisine.

All the guides were very knowledgable and spoke English well, particular mention to Juliet in Beijing and Ruth in Xian.

The itineray ensured that each day was full with a wide range of different places of interest to visit.A suggestion might be to give the group a free afternoon in the middle of the tour, possibly the second day in Xian as some of the group were quite tired at this point.

All the travel arrangements such as the bus tours, internal flights and transfer arrangements were very good. The only minor point was having to take the bus to Wuhan to catch the flight to Shanghai. Whilst we were able to see a bit of the countryside it meant that we were late into Shanghai on the first night. I am not sure what assurances you can get from the flight operator to ensure the correct number of seats for future tours.

The trips to the theatre to see the Beijing opera, Tang Dynasty show in Xian and the Acrobats in Shanghai were also very good.

I enclose for your information a few photos from our recent trip.

I would definitely travel with Travel China Guide again if we visit China again in the near future.

Thanks again

Hi Maggie and Sally,

Sorry that I could not get back to you sooner - I had to catch up on the business that I missed while I was touring.

My husband and I recently returned from our first China Tour. We could not be happier with our selection of Travel China Guide for our tour. The guides were very knowledgeable about the sites and history of the various regions, they spoke English very well, and all were pleasant and fun to tour with. There were just 12 travelers in our group and six after we split up - we took the Yangtze River cruise and others continued on land. The guides and drivers handled our tours and transitions between cities so that travel was effortless. For example, they checked us and our luggage in for our flights between cities while we continued touring, and they were always there to meet us when we arrived in a new city.

The China hotels were very good selections, and all were uniformly clean with good service. The meals were a treat - lots of vegetables and good selections of chicken, fish, beef, and pork. The guides were always helpful to point out good restroom facilities, places to rest (for those who wanted to), and stores and kiosks with snacks and souvenirs. We appreciated the various factories and showrooms where we learned how different goods, such as pearls and silk embroidery, were made and where we could purchase good quality gifts and souvenirs at fair prices (if we so chose to do so).

We appreciated the ambitious pace of all the activities planned for the group, including the Chinese opera and the Portman acrobatic show in the evening. Particular favorites were climbing the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Terra Cotta Warriors, the talk by the professor in Xian, and rafting up the Shennong Stream in the tracker-powered junk.

When we arrived home, we compared notes with good friends who had also been touring China during the same time period. We felt that our China tour included much more than theirs did - all meals, air travel between cities, and day and evening activities. We would certainly choose Travel China Guide if we were to go to China again, and I hope that we may real soon!
