We enjoyed our trip to China very, very much and appreciate all you did to make it happen.

Our favorite meals were the buffet breakfasts in Guangzhou and Beijing. The other meals that were arranged were all very good. We were grateful that we didn't have to make decisions about which dishes to order! Every restaurant you arranged was excellent and the food was outstanding.

We loved all of our guides. When we were in Guangzhou, my mother got a sore throat and couldn't talk much. She was the only native Chinese speaker in our group. So Tan, our guide came with us to visit some relatives, and was our translator. He also went to a cemetery with us and read the tombstones of our ancestors for us. Similarly, in Shanghai, our guide Ivan spoke Shanghai dialect with our relatives on our father's side of the family. He also helped arrange for us to visit another village to pay respects to an aunt who died 3 days before we arrived there. We were sorry that we did not get to see her. But it was very nice that we could go to her home and visit her children. Ivan also attended a luncheon with us and translated some family history from some older relatives that we recorded on video. It was very important to us that our children meet their relatives (for the first time), and learn about their ancestors. Tan and Ivan really helped us accomplish this.

Du in Beijing was delightful and knowledgeable. We appreciated how he got off the bus and helped get cars unstuck during a 3 hour traffic jam. He had to rearrange the rest of our day because of that delay, and he handled it with wisdom and grace.

Susan in Huangshan was charming and accommodating. We were impressed with the physical endurance Susan had, being a tour guide on those mountain steps every week. The beauty of Huangshan was beyond words.

All the drivers were very friendly and professional, and all had good attitudes. The buses were comfortable and clean, and we were always glad to have water available.

Thank you for arranging an extra room for us in Huangshan at the last minute. Thank you for being so flexible and accommodating.
