  Dear Maggie and Tina,

We filled out evaluation forms while still in China, but here is our summary of our impressions. Larry and Pearl Greenstein may wish to add comments of their own.

- We were very pleased with your company's service and the arrangements you made, except that we would have appreciated much earlier information on flights (departure times, flight numbers, confirmation numbers) as is standard in the travel industry.

- The two guides, Helen in Xian and Susan at Huangshan, are very competent and caring individuals who were always on time - or early - and responded quickly to all our needs.

Their English speaking capabilities are quite good and we could understand them with little effort. They are both intelligent and knowledgeable young women who seemed interested in further improving their English pronunciation and vocabulary. Helen gave excellent explanations of the complex history of the dynasties in Xian.

- The drivers in both Xian and Huangshan were skillful and courteous, and the cars were clean. The driver in Huangshan sometimes drove a little fast but this is perhaps the norm in that area.

- The meals were large and mostly very good. We appreciated especially the local vegetable dishes; the meat and fish dishes were sometimes disappointing. It's difficult to pick one meal in particular but Pearl Greenstein is particularly discerning about food and may be able to answer your question. Judy appreciated that Helen and Susan took care to avoid seafood dishes, which Judy cannot eat due to allergy.

- As a testimonial, we can suggest "Travel China Guide offers a high quality and fairly priced service to its customers in other countries. They were able to arrange an unusual itinerary exactly as we specified, with conscientious and attentive English-speaking guides at each location. We would come back to them for future travel in China."

We just got back from our travels (a week with friends in Japan after leaving China) and will send some photos when we arrange them within a few days.
