  Dear Cynthia and Eileen,

I want you to know how much we enjoyed our tour with Travel China Guide. From the first internet contact to the end of the trip, everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. To answer some of your questions: We were a group of 16 from the US, England, Ireland, and New Zealand. We were especially lucky in that we were a very compatible group and enjoyed each other immensely. We were happy with the places of interest and felt that adequate time was allowed. That is not to say we couldn't have spent longer seeing the larger attractions, but that would have taken weeks. Each attraction was interesting and enjoyable.

Meals: It is very hard to please a group of people since each person's tastes vary so much. Personnally, we enjoyed the meals and felt that the variety served at each meal should have allowed everyone items they liked. The group remarked often how pleased they were with the meals and if anything, felt we were fed too much. (gaining weight). Our favorite meal was the Dumplings, but we enjoyed all the meals. We particularly enjoyed having the 'Western' breakfasts at each hotel. That satisfied our desire for 'home style cooking'.

Hotels: The accommodations were advertised as 3 and 4 star and each one was excellent, living up to its rating. The beds were all a little too hard though for our preference.

Guides, buses and drivers: All three guides were excellent, knowledgeable, and helpful. They all were accommodating to the groups requests. Our drivers were all competent, courteous and helpful. The buses were good, however, the bus in Beijing was not as quite good shape as the others.

The only helpful suggestion would be to try to program a couple of hours of free time for shopping. We had 15 minutes at a few places to shop at the sites we visited, an hour at the market in Xian, and a couple of hours in the afternoon in Shanghai, but I would have liked a little more time in a market place. I realize this is a woman's point of view and maybe a minority view. Maybe you could offer an option to drop some people at a market, take the rest to visit a site and come back to the market later or a variation of this idea. This suggestion should not be taken as a complaint, just a suggestion.

Finally, the best compliment is word of mouth recommendations and I have been raving about our tour to China to all my friends and will continue to do so.

Thank you Cynthia, Eileen, Du, Echo, and John for making our trip so memorable.
