We were very pleased with our trip to China using your travel agency. We will definitely recommend you to anyone we know interested in traveling to China. In answer to the questions you send here are the following answers:
1. The meals overall were great and at each place the guides did a good job of ordering for us. I believe our favorite was the restraurant outside Beijing we went for lunch on the day we visited the Great Wall and Ming tomb but there were several others that we felt were close to being favorite like the restraurant we ate lunch at in Yichang right after Three Gorges Dam before taking plane to Shanghai.
2. All of our guides were great. They all spoke good, understandable English and had a great knowledge of the areas and sights they were showing us. They were always on time to get us and get us to our points of interest and planes or trains for departures. They all seemed ready to go out of their way to make sure we had and did what we wanted.
3. All drivers and vehicles were great. They were always waiting and ready when we came from any of the places visited and had plenty of bottled water and had a good attitude.
We had some concerns about a trip of such length and over nearly three week period to a place we had never been before we arrived in China. But between the quick response to all our questions before we left the U.S. and then the wonderful tour your travel agency set up for us, this was one of the best and most trouble free trips we have ever experienced. We found everything to be much better than we had ever expected, and this could not have been possible except for the wonderful attention and service we received from all the guides and drivers that took care of us while we were traveling to the 8 areas of China we visited. We would have a hard time saying which guide was the best as they were all so good and unique to their way and own area. Sherry in Kunming and Tracy in Chongqing were so very enthusiastic and fun; Lee in Guilin, Carol in Xian, and Cindy in Beijing were so knowledgeable about the history and culture; Yuan in Hangzhou was so wonderfully intent on helping us to understanding the old China versus the new China; Vivian and Nancy did a wonderful job in the short times we were just in transit in Yichang and Shanghai to get us to see the high points in the little time we had. Our only suggestion would be that with the Yangtze Cruise your agency should give more understanding of the difference in cabins on the cruise ship and let the customer know the size of each cabin and allow the customer to pick a different class of cabin if they don't wish to be cramped when booking with you. We ended up upgrading at an additional cost because the cabin first assigned to us was really too cramped for the two of us for a three night trip. The hotels you had for us were all first rate and treated us excellently. We had wonderful service and found the people of China very friendly and helpful when we ventured out on our own. For us your travel agency did a superior job of making this a very enjoyable, interesting, and worthwhile vacation.
