Itinerary: 9 Days Beijing - Xian - Shanghai
Overall, it was very good. Although, we thought that the program planned in Beijing was very tight and didn't allow enough free time to do some shopping within Beijing. Xian part of the tour was a lot more relaxed and had ample free time in between compared to Beijing. Shanghai part of the tour was very short. It could have done with an extra day like the other cities. We enjoyed the Acrobat show and the Tang Dynasty show. Maybe the Kung Fu show at the Red Theatre could be an optional show for Beijing if people are interested in this.

The meals were generally very good. But, we did not enjoy the meal at Xian airport. The food on 2 occasions were not that good. We would have eaten the airline food from Beijing instead if we knew that the food at Xian airport was not good. Also, the meal we had was not the same as the tour program.

The dumpling banquet at Xian was most enjoyable and was one of the food highlights. In relation to the Peking duck, it would have been nice to have an explanation about the history of the Quanjude duck, that this has been served in the late 1800s particularly for people who have never had duck served this way before. If possible, have the duck served before the other dishes rather than the other way round. Just to improve the dining experience.

The guides all performed well. Xian guide Zhou li(?) was our group's favorite. The cars/vans were clean and driver service was great. Please forward our thanks again to the drivers, we really appreciate their help in making our tour a great success. Xian guide Zhou li(?) was very nice and knowledgeable. She was flexible in her approach and very friendly. We really appreciate her professional approach and caring nature.

I will forward some photos to you shortly. Thank you for your great help for arranging such an excellent holiday for us.
