Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am sorry that I have taken so long to reply to this e-mail. I am deeply saddened by what we see, read and hear about the recent earthquake in your country. We are sure that you have lost family, friends and associates in the counties that are affected. We are praying every day that your country can restore itself as best as possible. We are certainly saddened by the beautiful country we visited and the people we met. We hope and pray that our guides and drivers are alive and that their families are too.
To give the comments on specifics:
1. Meals: They were very good and we were very impressed with the guides presenting us with the restaurant menus to choose from prior to arriving with pictures and descriptions of the food. We really enjoyed the duck dinner. Fabulous!
2. Guides: there were two standouts....Our Chengdu guide, Jim, and driver were really outstanding. They helped us see what the locals enjoy and we appreciated their interest in making our time worth seeing the sites and seeing the 'spirit' of the area. Jim loves the Panda's and helped us with our camera to take a movie which I didn't know how to do. They took extra time to help us find things. Our guide in Beijing , Tina was very special and helped us see special things. Her heart is in her job and she put special emphasis in helping us understand the Buhdist religion that we wanted to learn more about.
3. Cars: The cars were big and roomy plus clean all the time with enough drinking water.
Your company is fabulous and we will recommend all the time. Thank you from day one of putting this together for us to the last minute.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Pappas
