The meals were generally good, with plenty of food. The lunches tended to be better than the dinners. We particulary enjoyed our lunch in Wuhan and the lunch we had in the small village the day we visited Longsheng (the bamboo rice was one of our favorite dishes!).

Our guides were all very good. Sara, our guide in Beijing, was exceptional. Sara, Carol, and Jerry all had very good English.

The drivers were all very professional and the cars were comfortable and clean. We would like to especially commend our driver in Guilin for his calm and very safe driving style - the trip to Longsheng was long and on some windy roads, but we felt very secure driving with him.

Testimonial for you:
My mother and I recently returned from a 15-day private tour with Travel China Guide, and the trip exceeded our expectations in every way. The guides were knowledgable and friendly - Sara, our guide in Beijing held my mom's hand everywhere we went and watched out for her like she was her own mother. Having our own driver meant that we were driven right to the entrance of major attractions, and allowed us to make adjustments to our itinerary as we went along. For example, as a result of the earthquake we had cancelled our trip to Chengdu to see the panda preserve. When I talked about how sad I was at not getting to see the pandas, Sara made arrangements for us to visit the pandas at the Beijing zoo - it was one of the highlights of the trip for me. The restaurants chosen by TravelChinaGuide were very good, and after a few days we were eating with chopsticks like we were born in China! What I will remember most is the incredible history - many of the things we saw were thousands of years old - and the beautiful scenery. Our guides made it even more fun by sharing amusing stories along with the standard history of what we were seeing. Truly a trip to remember, and TCG made sure it went as smooth as could be wished.

We were extremely pleased with our entire experience. The guides that impressed us the most were: David in Beijing, Wendy in Guilin and Mr. Wu in Shanghai. We had another guide for a half day, a woman in her mid-30's with a young son whose name I can't remember who was very good and Tao in Chongquing.

All of the food was delicious. We were disappointed with our Peking Duck dinner, however. I think that because it was served at the same place where there was a show meant that it was a very touristy place and there was not enough duck and pancakes for everyone at the table.

3. Guides: I must admit that our favorite guide was Wendy in Guilin. She was absolutely wonderful. We noticed that some of the guides, repeated EVERYTHING twice. It might be wise to speak more slowly and wait for a sentence to sink in. Sometimes the guide may be nervous and so they try to talk too fast and too much. This is not really a complaint, however, because the guides are so knowledgeable and have excellent command of the language.

The vans used were perfect and the size of our group, 12, was wonderful.

Feel free to use any of our comments for your website. We had a very compatible group, but we did feel sorry for the Spanish speakers who could not understand English. One of our group, Bruno Pellegrino took wonderful photos and is very good on the Internet, so I hope that you hear from him. I have some of his photos, on-line, if you would like me to e-mail them to you, I'll be happy to do so.

Ending this on a positive comment, we had a wonderful introduction to China through your organization and if when we decide to travel again in China we will certainly contact your group.
