All meals without exception were very good and several were excellent. The most memorable one is probably the lunch we had in Baisha. It took a little while to get used to the accent of four of the five guides that we had, but the one that it took a little longer to get used compensated this by excellent service attitude. The best pronunciation was our guide Judy in Lijiang.
All three drivers had a good service attitude and the cars were in very good shape. One of the drivers, however, had a peculiar way of driving and constantly drove at too low gear, thereby causing many overtakings to take unnecessarily long, sometimes resulting in somewhat scary manouvers. This was the driver we had in Lijiang that also drove us to Shangri-La. Our guide in Guilin and Yangshuo, Jasmine, was very helpful.
Several parts were memorable: the rice terrasses in Longsheng, the boat trip between Guilin and Yangshuo, the stone forest outside Kunming, and the wonderful atmosphere in Lijiang.
For your web column:
The entire tour was extremely well organized. Everything worked impeccably: guides, hotels, meals and sights. We will certainly contact tcg when we start planning our next trip to China. I am presently sorting my 2000 photos, I will let you know if there are any that I am particularly proud of.
Please do not show my email address on your web page. I probably will not have itme to answer any emails anyway.
Best regards,
Dan

In general, the meals were quite good. Shelley was particularly attentive to our food desires and made an effort to fit the spiciness to our tastes. The only meal that was not so good occurred at the cafeteria at Jiuzhaigou, but I am not sure whether anything can be done about that, as there are very limited options in the park.Alex warned us about the quality, so it was not a complete surprise. All of our guides were very conscientious and attentive. We had no significant communication problems. All were very informative. The cars were generallky clean and well-maintained.
Each guide stood out in a unique way.
- Ruth was unusually energetic
- Alex was unusually flexible
- Shelley was unusually attentive
We are grateful to each of them, as we are to you for your willingness to tailor the tour to our particular needs. We will recommend your service to all friends who want to visit China. Please feel free to publish my comments.

Thank you for your email and attached photos. From the beginning when I first contacted you by email I was impressed by your efficiency, the speed of your replies and by the quality of the information provided. This was confirmed from the moment we were met at Xian airport by our guide Sophie. We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit especially, of course, the trip to see the Terracotta Army. Sophie was an excellent guide, speaking good English and always friendly and attentive and willing to share her wide knowledge of Xian and China. Our car was clean and comfortable and the driver safe and sensible. The Hyatt Hotel was very comfortable and convenient. We enjoyed all the meals that were provided and were sad that we never managed to finish all the food at the lunches. Certainly it was all of a very high quality. We enjoyed especially the Dumpling Dinner arranged for us by Sophie and I am attaching a photo of us enjoying this. As you can tell from the above we were very pleased with all you provided and would be happy to recommend your company to friends. You may certainly use these comments on your web-site should you wish but I should prefer it if my email address was NOT published.
With best wishes Douglas and Annie Howes
