Hi as promised I compiled a report on our trip to China. Marie received a copy and agreed with them. The comments report is more an observation that we noted during our trip.

Also I forwarded you some pictures taken during our cruise to Yangshuo as you can use as advertising. Thank you for your support given during our stay in China.

Report of our Tours in China

Ref: 25 october 2008:

Hi Eileen, thank for your concern about the tours you organized for us, as we just walked home a few hours ago, I will return to you within a week or two and I will forward you all necessary comments as you requested. So the time for us to get back in our environment and rest accordingly, it is matter for us to recuperate and get back into our routine and I will be glad to forward our comments.

So far all went superb. So we will get in touch soon.

This was the last time we have communicated. As promised, I am forwarding you a report of our tours in China.

Beijing:
Transportation: Mr. Wang Aiguo was excellent. His vehicle was always cleaned and he knew his way around the city, and in no time we had doubts of his aptitude. He knew his way around, and we felt secure and confident at all the time.

Accommodations: Nothing to say against the Hotel, the room was cleaned, and service also was excellent but our complaint was the size of the extra bed was slightly small for an adult.

Meals: the meals that were provided were very good.

Tours: the tours that were planned for us were as expected. There were places that we did not go such as the silk factory, but it was our choice not to go, as we wanted to spend more time at other places.

Guide: David (Li Xuyang) was excellent and understanding as he pleased to our requests and that something expected from a guide. At time he insisted to go at other places that were part of our original planned tours, but he understood that the age group that we were could not abide to it. Consequently, he rapidly adjusted to our wishes and our tours were done satisfactorily. His English knowledge was very good and well understood. He knows his city and history very well, as in no time we had doubt of his expertise to do the job. And we never felt to ask for further explanation. Job well done.

Lhassa, Tibet:
Transportation, Mr. Pu BU Tse Ring was excellent, the vehicle was always cleaned, he knew is way around the city, and in no time we had doubts of his aptitude. We felt secure and confident at all the time. Fresh water bottle was always available when needed.

Accommodations: The Hotel deserves to be talked about. We realized that you were aware late of the restorations that the Hotel was going through and your effort to find a solution to our problems was appreciated. We found that the personnel despite of the moves and the repairs going on, was well prepared and their attitude was excellent. However, the stay was impeded by dust, noise and also the temperature inside the Hotel which was colder as usual due to the restorations. To note that the extra bed provided, was a size of a camping bed, very narrow for an adult especially with our condition we were in as we all suffered from the altitude disease.

Tours: the tours that were planned for us were as expected. There were places that we did not go because of our health situation at the time, and guided by our judgement it was our choice not to go.

Guide: Ten Zin Wang was excellent and understanding as he pleased to our request which was expected by our guide. At time he insisted to go at other places that were part of our original planned tours, but he understood that the age group that we were could not abide to it. Consequently, he rapidly adjusted to our wishes and our tours were done satisfactorily. His English seemed to be very good, however we had to pay attention to his pronunciation and he has tendency at time to repeat himself. However due to the situation we were during our stay in Lhasa, he rapidly adjusted to our situation and he was well appreciated for his understanding. Job well done.

Xian:
Transportation, Mr. Liu was excellent, his vehicle always cleaned, he knew is way around the city, and in no time we had doubts of his aptitude. We felt secure and confident at all the time. Fresh water bottle was always available when needed.

Accommodations: Great Hotel, the room was cleaned, and service also was excellent.

Meals: the meals that were provided were very good and plenty.

Tours: the tours that were planned for us were as expected and superbly explained and described by the guide.

Guide: Helen ( Zhang Baoyun) was excellent and understanding as she pleased to our requests and that something expected from a guide. She never insisted to go at other places that were part of our original planned tours and she very well understood that the age group. Consequently, she rapidly adjusted to our wishes and our tours were done satisfactorily. Her English knowledge was excellent and well understood. She knows her city and history very well, as in no time we had doubt of her expertise to do the job. In no time ever felt to ask for further explanation. Job well done.

Guilin:
Transportation, Mr. Chen Chun was excellent, his vehicle always cleaned, he knew is way around the city, and in no time we had doubts of his aptitude. We felt secure and confident at all the time. Fresh water bottle was always available when needed.

Accommodations: Great Hotel, the room was cleaned, and service also was excellent.

Meals: the meals that were provided were very good and plenty.

Tours: the tours that were planned for us were as expected and superbly explained and described by the guide.

Guide: Linda (Li Qiu Yu) was excellent and understanding as she pleased to our requests and that something expected from a guide. She never insisted to go at other places that were part of our original planned tours and she very well understood that the age group. Consequently, she rapidly adjusted to our wishes and our tours were done satisfactorily. Her English knowledge was good and well understood. She knows her city and history very well, as in no time we had doubt of her expertise to do the job. She is the youngest of all, and her English is limited, but her hard work and dedication will pay off as she will gain confidence and experience, therefore she will become an asset to Travel Chine Guide. Job well done Linda.

Dear Ruby/ Dora,

We really enjoyed your tour, and have the following comments.

1----Quite good,

2 ----Meals in Beijing, Shanghai and Xian very good. The meal at the Hyatt on arrival in Xian was the best!

3--- The guides were all good. All guides were knowledgable, however it would help the tourists if the guides could advise us about points of interest on the journey to our destination.

4----All drivers were very good and the buses were spotless.

5----Robyn Self became ill in Tiananmen Square and our guide Ray was extremely helpful in arranging an ambulance to take Robyn to the hospital, where we were met by two staff from Travel China Guide. We could not have received service as good as this in Australia, and we would sincerely like to thank Ray and the two young ladies for their assistance.

Within 15 minutes of arrival, Robyn had been seen a doctor, and was in a room with a drip inserted. Then back to the hotel, and was ready to resume the tour the next day.
