Dear Sophie and Vicky,

My very sincere thanks for the service that you and TCG provided me during my tour. It was immensely helpful.

Including the breakfasts at the hotel, all meals were God-send. They all had an ample selection of dishes, both Western and Asian. The meals provided on the days tour I had were also very tasty with different regional cuisines sampled. If I had to chose one I would probably choose the one in Suzhou but perhaps that's because it was the last one so it is fresh in my memory.

The guides were all excellent and very attentive but not overly so. They seemed to know just when to give you breathing room. The level of language was also excellent. There were very few misunderstood words. The level of knowledge was also excellent. Each could answer questions well out of the descriptions of the places were were visiting. The cars were clean and the drivers careful. I was offered water or soft drinks each time.

The choice of hotels were generally well done. The one in Beijing was conveniently located which made up for the very small room. My only bad experience there was the attempt to charge me 42 RMB for a small bottle of water. The hotel in Xian was excellent all around though I think in retrospect I should have gone to your initial recommendation of a hotel near the Drum Tower. That area looked better for exploration on one's own. The hotel in Shanghai was excellent except for the rather run-down neighborhood it was in. It was the only hotel where I ate dinner because I didn't want to venture out into the surrounding area. I noticed when I caught the train for Suzhou that there is a more inviting area for shopping and eating on the other side of the train station. If I had known that, it might have made a difference in my feeling about the hotel. Finally, the hotel in Suzhou was adequate. The bed here was also very hard and no bottled water was provided. It was the only hotel that couldn't provide internet access in English but since it was my last day, that didn't matter too much to me. Otherwise the room and location were fine. There was a nice ambiance about the hotel.

I really can't point out one guide better than another. The three were all excellent. I especially appreciated the extra information they provided on where to find restaurants for dinner, how to get my next transportation, etc.

I haven't downloaded my pictures but if there is a good one, I'll send you a copy as soon as I can. And you can publish my comments on your website.

Thank you again, Vicky and Sophie. It was truly a memorable trip, thanks to your help and guidance. Certainly I'm more than happy to recommend your company to anyone I meet who is contemplating a trip to China or use your services myself if I have the opportunity to return.

Hi Ruby and Dora,

I'm extremely sorry for the late reply. I arrived back in Sydney on 16 April and had been busy ever since.

I and 6 others booked a tour of Xian with TCG in March 2009. We were very happy with the overall service provided, especially that of your guide, Helen, who I think was at the train station for a very long time awaiting our delayed arrival from Luoyang. I personally would like to compliment her on her dedication to her duties and her knowledge of the various places we visited. Because of this, what I thought would be a very boring tour of the Shaanxi Historical Museum (which I have been before) suddenly became the most interesting part of our tour and I wished we had a longer time to spend there.

The meals met my expectations. I think the dumpling banquet and show was most spectacular and it's the event that I would recommend. We had a most delicious a la carte lunch at a restaurant in your office's vicinity. I must say the staff at this restaurant was most helpful and courteous and went to great lengths to satisfy our wishes. I had a pleasant surprise when one of your staff, I think it's Nicole, came to meet us and presented us with the Tshirts. This adds a personal touch to your excellent service. Thanks very much.

The car provided was of a high standard and so was the service of the driver.

In your favour I must say that I have no hesitation in recommending TCG to anyone looking for a tour company China.

Yours sincerely
Josephine Wong
