OVERALL COMMENTS:

We had an incredible journey in Tibet! First, we want to thank TravelChinaGuide for obtaining our travel permit. It was delivered to our hotel in advance of our travel into Tibet and we encountered absolutely no problems because we had all the requisite documentation.

Next, we want to thank our guide, Urgyan. He did an excellent job in planning our days. He also did a great job explaining the history of the various sites that we visited as well the Buddhist religion. Urgyan has a great grasp of the English language and was easy to understand. He was always pleasant and looking out for our best interests.

Next, we want to thank our driver, Jimmy. He too did an excellent job. Jimmy was a very safe driver. He also kept both the inside and outside of the car very, very clean. He too was pleasant to be with although he had only a basic understanding of English. That being said, we were able to communicate with Jimmy too.

Tibet is an incredible place and this trip was a great introduction to its most well-known sites - the Potala Palace in Lhasa (previous home of the Dalai Lamas) and Qomolangma (Mt. Everest). In addition, we viewed numerous magnificent monasteries, the Tibet Museum and many places of natural beauty. We have great photographs and wonderful memories of Tibet and we hope to return to explore more of this amazing land (hopefully with Urgyan and Jimmy).

Dear Ms. Lu and Ms. Cu:

We are spending our final night in Lhasa before returning to Chengdu. We wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful adventure! Thank you for coordinating our trip. We have completed the evaluation form given to us by our guide. We know that you will eventually receive a copy. However, we wanted to send a note to say that we marked all items, "Excellent." We also wrote comments in hand. Since my handwriting may be difficult to read, we are sending the comments to you in the attached WORD document. One is "Additional Comments" regarding the overall trip. The other is comments regarding the hotel. If you have any problems reading the attachment, please let us know. We believe that you ultimately will receive our handwritten document but the attached typed document may be easier for you to read. Also, if you wish to share it with the local Tibetan agency, please do.

To begin, please do not take our comments about the Everest Hotel as any reflection on your services. We know you strive only for the best. We shared our comments so that they can be relayed to the Everest Hotel (and/or any hotel rating agency) and hopefully improvements will be made.

We are happy to share our photographs which we can send to you under separate emails. Do you have any type of photograph in mind? We have pictures of natural scenery, pictures of us at tourist spots (i.e., Potala Palace, Satka Monastery, Mt. Everest, etc.), pictures of us with Tibetans and pictures of Tibetans alone. What would you like to receive? We literally have 100's of photographs and we would like send you those that will work best for your agency.

Comments for 1 Day Kunming Trip

Dear Ms. Lu and Ms. Cu:

We're sending this brief note to once again commend the guide/driver who took us to the Stone Forest. Ms. Fang Yan ("Sunny") was an excellent host and did a great job. Our driver was also very skilled. Both were very nice individuals and we enjoyed sharing time with them.
