Hi,
Thank you for organizing the visit, we were really pleased with how it all went. We appreciated the free days we had amongst the organized days.
All the meals were enjoyed. We enjoyed the ones in particular where we didn't have to look at a menu and make decisions ourselves. All were great spots and the service was superb. The meal with the local family (where we met you) was the highlight.
All guides were good. Their knowledge and English were excellent. Ryan in Shanghai was particularly obliging and helpful.
We enjoyed the hotels in Beijing and Xian and Suzhou as they had good locations. However the hotels in Chongqing and Shanghai were better quality rooms but were not in central locations. Breakfasts were adequate but different to what we are used to in the west. We ended up eating toast often. Beijing the room we had was tired but clean, everywhere else rooms were very good.
Travel China Guide made our trip through China completely hassle free and enjoyable. The itinerary you devised fitted in perfectly with what we wanted to do, with the organized tours and then the free days where we wandered and did our own thing.
Cheers
Neil Haywood

Dear Anny and Lydia,
I am sending a letter to your company thanking them for a wonderful time. It was everything I expected and more.
Basically we felt your service was wonderful value--6 flights, a train ride and a cruise down the Yangtze River. We also felt that the sequence was excellent--by the time we reached the cruise we were ready for sitting back and relaxing. But we all feel that the most outstanding part of your tour were your guides. They were intelligent local people who gave us a wonderful insight into the residents of an area. They were all enthusiastic about their home towns and flexible about the tour, dependent on our interests and physical needs.
We enjoyed the hotels, although many of us were not used to the unusually hard beds found in most of the hotels. The hotels in Turban and DunHuang were outstanding. We found the concierges in Beijing especially helpful--he helped us plan an excellent 1st day in Beijing. One of our members left a jade piece at the hotel in Xian. They not only found it, they had it waiting for her in Shanghai. The only negative incident we had was at the bar at the hotel in Shanghai--they had a surly young girl on duty who didn't know how to mix a Bloody Mary, which 4 of us had ordered. I did lodge a complaint with the night manager.
The food was generous and excellent. The train ride was an experience. We can't say we enjoyed it, but none of us would have forgone the experience. High points in the tour were climbing a snow covered Great Wall under sunny, blue skies; a private evening of Uygur dancing and singing in a home in old town in Kashgar; the camel ride and Mogao Caves in DunHuang; and the junk ride at Shennong Stream. All your shows were excellent--the Kung Fu one in Beijing, the dancing in Xian, and the acrobats in Shanghai, which we opted to see.
Thank you, Anny and Lydia, for your patience in dealing with us.
Sincerely,
Yuk Lin Moulds-Carr
