"Having now done the trip I can whole heartedly recommend TCG. I was not let down on any one issue. They did our tours (normal tourist activities in Beijing and Xi'an), accommodation (incl. breakfast), lunch every day (on an ala carte basis) and two internal flights. In each city we were met and accompanied on each tour by the english speaking guide in that city and he also ensured we booked into our onward flight. Their standard of English was very good, not what I expected at all. We had a private guide and driver so can't comment on the group tour arrangements. The meal allowances were sufficient to allow a little extra tasting and beers with every meal..."

"Background - my family (2 adults and 2 children -12 &9) live in Australia and we had been looking for options to visit China. We liked the idea of a group bus tour as they would take care of everything (& we were concerned about how easy it would be to get around) - however no companies in Oz would take children of our ages for anything over about 12 days - and we wanted a comprehensive tour of 22 days. "Searching for a tour operator on-line and knowing no one who had previously traveled in China, Travel China Guide stood out with consistently positive Trip Advisor reviews. Because I convinced six other people to join us on the 11-day tour of Beijing, Xi'an, the Yangtze cruise, and Shanghai solely based on these reviews, I was still apprehensive -- until our first meeting in Beijing. The next eleven days ran like clockwork with every detail covered by our personable, efficient guides and drivers....

We felt that the cost of the trip was very reasonable considering that it covered 4 and 5-star hotels, most meals, three internal flights, the river cruise, and admissions to dozens of attractions. TCG also arranged an extra night's accommodation at the beginning and still met us at the airport. "Initially when I first contacted them and had to wire money to a foreign country I was worried that it might be a scam but rest assure it was not. We had a small group and opted for a personalized trip as we had a limited amount of time to be spent in Beijing and Xian, China. Sara, our tour guide in Beijing China greeted us at the airport, whisked us to our hotel, checked us in and basically arranged everything like she was our god mother. Her and our driver, Master Chen kept us on schedule and also made the tour so enjoyable it really felt like we were with a family member showing us around. Everything was so detailed arranged, even down to the airport when we left and got stopped by customs (do not carry water - not even in check in!!) Sara was there to help interpret and was still there until we went through...

If anyone has any doubts, I can tell you first hand- don't. This tour guide legit and you will have the most wonderful time. I have had other tour guides in other countries and this is the best, I just wish they also were available for other countries!"

"We recently undertook a nine day guided tour "Gems of China" with TravelChinaGuide. The tour started out with 18 members, but dwindled to 10 by the end as some went off to Tibet and others to the Yangtze cruise.
