Beijing Hwa Apartment Hotel is located in the downtown area, near to the metro station, borders on SOGO, and has convenient transportation. Hwa Apartment Hotel is surrounded by oriental plaza, Xidan Scitech Shopping Center, Beijing financial street, and so on. It was decorated in 2000 and is equipped with European style standard suites (one bedroom and two bedrooms). Guest rooms are equipped with central air conditioning, fire safety systems, closed circuit television, International direct telephone, Internet access, mini bar, refrigerator, and the kitchen of supporting facilities. This apartment hotel is very conveniently located with large shopping centers and eating places nearby, including McDonalds and KFC within 100 meters away. Across the hotel are shops selling reasonably priced ladies fashion. The subway station Xidan is about 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment.
The bedroom is large enough with 2 single beds, and the living room is spacious with a large cable TV which you can tune into English channels. Our main complaint is that even though the kitchen is ok, there are no cooking utensils or cutlery (other than 2 teaspoons) so when we wanted to do some simple cooking at times (as eating outside food everyday and night could be too much even for us Asians), we couldn't do so.
The staff could have been more receptive. Even though we spoke Chinese with them, their response was somewhat "cold" - perhaps this could be due to the Chinese culture in China as we found the same "cold" response from customer service at Beijing and Shanghai railway stations.
Our booking experience with Travelchinaguide:
We are very happy with the services and professional approach of all TCG's staff (Cissy Lee, Laura Wang, and others - sorry we can't remember their names) in looking after our hotel bookings. Although we had made many changes and some cancellations to our bookings, TCG's staff had at all times been very understanding and patient with us, so much so that we felt quite bad at times for making all the changes. The staffs were always very polite and prompt in their responses to us.
There were a couple of occasions we had to telephone TCG when we were in China. We spoke to a number of its staff. It was really nice to be able to easily communicate with them without any problems, and our requests were attended to immediately.
I would also like to commend TCG for using an excellent tracking system, which I think other travel agents don't use. Well done, TCG! If I could rate TCG's service from 1 to 10, I would give a 10

We like Yongan much better than Hwa apartment hotel. Hwa is located in downtown area and was pretty crowded, noisy and not clean environment. But the room was OK , pretty spacious. Comparatively, Yongan was cleaner place.
The staff working there were pretty nice but we won't recommand Hwa hotel to our friend because of the location. Sorry to say that. but we will recommand Yongan. we like TCG service and will continue using it.

The service provided by the TCG Booking Center was excellent. The convenience of booking all accommodations via your website and emails were great. Our booking were confirmed promptly and at very reasonable prices. Knowing that our accommodation was ready and waiting as planned made our trip more enjoyable. Whilst we were a bit hesitant initially about booking accommodation on the web we now have no hesitation in recommending your organisation to independent travellers and we would certainly use your company next time we travel to China.
The beds of the hotel were comfortable and clean and the towels were clean, but unfortunately the floors needed a good clean and the paint work needs attention - with some refurbishment, this would be an excellent place to stay. But due to the shabby appearance of the rooms we would not recommend to fellow travellers. It was great to have a separate kitchen and lounge. And location was great.
