We found the hotel fine and enjoyed staying in the Hutong area. Comfortable rooms and nice and clean - staff very helpful and friendly. It would have been good if each room had a hairdryer instead of having to borrow one from reception.

My room was a little small and a little noisy (next to the courtyard where breakfast was served) but I enjoyed my stay very much. This was also due to the fact that I have been many times to China and always like to come back. The hotel is a piece of the old Beijing that enchants everybody? heart ?it should stay just as it is!

I am very pleased with your TCG services and would definitely book with your help again. We still stay in touch! I am planning to visit Yunnan next spring. So I will surely need your advice.

Xie xie a!

From our coming welcome to the help with luggage when we left, the service was superb. Advice and personal assistance was available, in good English, at all times. The hutong is not an area for the obsessively tidy, but the hotel itself has such charm and the area such character that we long to return, and would recommend it to any of our friends. The only reason for staying elsewhere would be a fixation on iced water or kettles in rooms.
