Opened in 2004 in the north square of West Railway Station, Beijing Railway Hotel (West Railway Station) covers a total area of 30,000 square meters, including guest rooms, Chinese restaurant, offices and parking lot. It is 5 kilometers away from the city center, 8 kilometers to Beijing Railway Station and 35 kilometers to the airport. Besides, there are over 40 bus lines near the hotel, which can take guests to the famous attraction sites, shopping malls and central government agencies. The hotel has 241 guestrooms, including standard room, luxury single room, and luxury suite, which are all well equipped with central air conditioning, satellite TV, 24-hour hot water and internet access. Other facilities include restaurants providing various Chinese cuisines, 6 conference halls which can seat 20-200 guests, super underground parking of 300 stalls, KTV, beauty and hair shops, etc.

The hotel room was one of the best I had on my trip in China: spacious, clean and a lot of facilities. I think especially to have the shower cabin at the same level as the floor (so people don't have to take any step) is a very good idea and makes it very easy especailly for elder or disabled people. It doesn't apply to me, but nevertheless I think it is a very good idea in general.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast delicious. On the downside I can mention just the fact that staff couldn't speak English well, so it was sometimes hadr to communicate. I expected a bit more English knowledge here, given the fact that the hotel appears on an international website. However, again, because everybody was extremely helpful, I could overcome the communication problems !
Another very small thing: I arrived late, but still on time for breakfast, but the food was almost entirely empty. The staff couldn't even give me a cup to help myself with orange juice...
Also I had extreme trouble with my room key - the new automatic door opener never worked, so I always had to call someone to open the room to me.
But again these are only small things to critizize, all in all it was a good stay.

As the hotel name, the hotel is very close to the Beijing railway station. However, the room was a bit noisy since it faced the railway station. Hot water in the room seemed to be unavailable or not very hot. Staffs tried to be helpful, but language was really a problem. They could not understand our request exactly. Maybe I will stay here again only for it’s good location.
