Dear Mrs/Mr,

you asked my opinion about hotel Camellia in Kunming.

1. Staff at lobby was friendly and understood English well. Location very good, although at a main road no noise problems were observed. At least my room was clean and convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Big thanks to hotel's kitchen for their efforts!

If I can wish something is that the prices in the restaurant (=breakfast room) outside breakfast time could be a bit lower (cup of coffee 18 Y!) and that the ladies were more willing to serve.

Only minus were the bikes the hotel (?) rented. Price/day (30 Y) was Ok but the technical condition was miserable, not serviced after new I think. The bikes were also too small for me (178 cm). But to be honest all bikes I saw on Kunming streets were for smaller people.

2. I had not any problems with booking. Email worked fine. Continue with this style!

Best regards

I am an alone travelling woman (photographer and teacher) and I stayd in the Camellia Hotel in Kunming for three nights in April 2009. I liked this hotel very much. The hotel is situated close to the center of the City, but quiet. My room was very nice, very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast hall (something like a huge winter-garden is wonderfull, the breakfast with a lot of western and chinese dishes luxurious. She staff was kind, English speaking and helpful. I would give even four stars to this very special hotel.
