Holiday Inn City Centre Hotel, Harbin is an international hotel managed by Zhouji Hotel Group. Located in the centre of Harbin and adjoining the Central Avenue, the hotel's traffic is great. Holiday Inn City Centre Hotel, Harbin opened in 1995 and was renovated in 2000. Now the hotel owns 148 varied fully-equipped rooms, equipped with 100 MBPS broad band USB, separately controlled central air-conditioning system, color television, closed-circuit television programs are available. In addition, international programs like CNN, ESPN, HBO, etc can be accessed into the inside rooms. Besides, every bathroom offers an extension and a hairdryer. Wireless online service are available in the lobby, the executive lounge, the business centre, meeting rooms and the multifunctional hall for free in these public areas. What's more, the airport pick-up service is provided.

We had a good stay at the Holiday Inn City Centre Hotel. The hotel was very central and in a good location for walking around Harbin. It was close to the main shopping mall, St Sophia Church, and a nice walk to the river. The hotel was a short taxi ride across the river, about 10 mins, to the main Ice Festival. The hotel room was very clean and quite comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was very good. Some of the staff understood English. We ordered room service which was very prompt, and the food was also very good. We would highly recommend this hotel for people who were visiting Harbin.

The TCG booking centre was very good and easy to use. The TCG was very prompt in replying to our emails and providing information which was important to our booking.

Please see my hotel review.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn City Centre Hotel, Harbin, China for 2 nights in January 2009. The hotel is very conveniently situated at the end of the main shopping street ( take care crossing the road as traffic does not stop for pedestrians) and is 20 minutes walk from the river and Zhaolin Park if you are visiting the Ice Festival. The hotel reception staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions and arrangements for visiting tourist attractions. The hotel rooms were clean and warm (it was -20 degrees outside) and breakfast was buffet service (English and Chinese). The hotel is approximately 30 minutes taxi ride to the Tiger Park (note - you have to arrange for the taxi to wait for you, approx 2 hours, as it is out of the city, cost about 150 rmb). You can easily visit the Tiger Park, Sun Island (snow sculptures) and the Ice Festival (visit in the evening) in one day.

The hotel booking system was straight forward and didn't require credit card details until you were at the hotel. I would recommend TCG to reply to both e-mail addresses when customers give an alternative e-mail address. The English / Chinese hotel directions were very useful for the taxi from the airport.
